Critter attacks…yuck!
I don’t watch those things, not until we get down to the last two standing.
I knew it was on, but Wednesday night is “shootin’show’ night on the Outdoor Channel. Guns & Ammo TV has an excellent show, and in their last segment, two guys do unbelievably destructive things to firearms, just to see what will happen, and to demonstrate things to people that they should never do. Tonight, they intentionally reloaded a .300WinMag round with the specs for one propellant, but used a different, faster burning, propellant. Loaded it into a Thompson Center Encore on a vice, and fired it remotely. It wasn’t pretty! Completely blew the top of the chamber out and off.
Back to the youtube thingie, I don’t even know which channel CNN is on. I’m not a liberal.

It’s not in my stored “Favorites”, which means I had no idea which one of our 1600 channels it’s on either.

I spent several minutes trying to find it before giving up and watching Sports Center on ESPN.

It was on CNN and I watched the whole thing.

I think I’ve said it before on this blog, I’d like to roll them all up into one candidate because each, even Ron Paul, has something good to offer and something I don’t like about them. I found it hard to pick a winner last night. McCain was pretty cool, even under illegal immigration pressure and it’s hard to top him on terrorism/foreign policy issues. Mitt Romney, though, was the definite target and as much as I like Mitt, he stumbled a few times … his message was right but his answers were too long and once again he looked like he wasn’t a straight shooter even though I believe he is. Guiliana came off haughty. On a personal level, I don’t like the guy and so it’s hard for me to cozy up to him. Huckabee is a great debater. If Mitt had what Huckabee has, he’d be far and away in the lead. Huckabee, though, is really soft on illegal immigration…I’m sure he’d grant amnesty just like McCain. Fred Thompson doesn’t show up…boy what a letdown he has been. Actually his policies are right on according to his website, but he sure can’t articulate them. Duncan Hunter is the jewel in the rock pile … I really like the guy but he isn’t a front runner and won’t win the nomination.

I predict Guiliani (and I’ll never learn to spell his name right) will win the nomination with Huckabee as his running mate.

i watched it on and off and agree with a lot of what dianne said. it sounds like she saw a great deal more than i did. these big pretenda debates seem to really favor mccain. noone wants to go after him cause it comes off like fuckin with an established war hero and policy maker, not to mention the candidates all seem to genuinely respect him. on “torture vs. interogation”, mccain made romney look like a bratty stepson that got his ass whipped on cable. of what i saw, that was the highlight. a distant second was thompson passively dismissing the idiocy of cooper, as he commonly does to liberals.
i think huckabee is less a “great debater” and more a solid speaker/theoligian. more of the same from rudy and ron paul (mccain owned him too, though the youtube audience didn’t seem to agree). like dianne, hunter impresses me. so does tancredo, though i think i heard from him once all night. contrary to dianne, i think thompson appears the wise old fella that only speaks when he has something to say. to me he comes off as genuine, informed, and conservative.
i’m pulling for tancredo and hunter. i’m predicting thompson with mccain as a running mate.
