Just one of the many reasons that I love my job and the company that I work for:
On Veterans Day this year (actually the Monday following Veteran’s Day), as a part of recognizing the Veterans who work with us, our company unveiled this Honor Wall display on a prominent wall at our office.
Beneath each Service seal are the names of each Veteran who served in that branch and their years of service. The service in our company breaks down like this:
- 25 Army
- 24 Navy
- 22 Air Force
- 13 Marines
The 84 Veterans (3 of whom are still enlisted in the Reserves, including one Marine who is currently deployed to Iraq) represents 42% of our company. The average for Austin companies is 11%.
