So the latte-fueled protesters in Port of Olympia in Washington are up to their bullshit again.
They are physically blocking the streets with their frail patchouli-smelling bodies, preventing military supply trucks and convoys from delivering needed military supplies to the very Soldiers and Marines who are — ironically — off fighting a war to protect the very rights that they are abusing.
From earlier in the week:
On Friday, protesters, including several small children, were able to keep two trucks from leaving the port. Olympia police said the department did not have enough officers available to remove the protesters Friday, and that they were not prepared to physically remove children.
Wow. Using children as human shields at an event where physical confrontation with riot police are not only likely, but expected. Gotta love them batshit crazy moonbats — putting their children at risk of getting hit with tasers, pepper spray, and rubber bullets.
See — here’s the thing these assholes don’t seem to understand — their rights to “assemble” and to engage in “freedom of speech” ends when they start impeding somebody else’s ability to engage in their own freedoms.
For instance, when your “protest” moves into the streets and physically prevents another person from engaging in commerce or travel.
You have now forfeited your right to continue your protest. You have now broken the law.
Personally, I think that the kiddie gloves should come off of the Soldiers — these “protesters” are engaged in seditious acts. There is no confusion about that. The Soldiers should be ordered and allowed to simply continue their convoy without stopping. If moonbats don’t move out of the way, they will learn exactly how heavy an M35 “Deuce and a Half” weighs.
But please moonbats — leave the kids at home.
If the moonbats really want a confrontation with our Soldiers, I say we engage them. Just like when moonbats vandalize recruiting offices and assault Military recruiters, I think that the military should be able to defend their selves and the governments property with whatever force is necessary.
My favorite part of the new arrests that were made today — apparently the moonbats were wearing “anti-pepper spray” goggles. They thought they had one-up’ed the police. They weren’t expecting the cops to pull their physically pull their goggles off and then pepper spray them.
Classic.

Hey, don’t get me wrong Robbie, I think protests that involve halting supplies are stupid as hell.
But the overall spirit of your post…that “good protesting” never breaks the law or impedes commerce…bullshit.
I guess Rosa Parks was nothing but a treasonous lawbreaker (NOTE: I’M NOT COMPARING THESE DUMBASSES IN OLYMPIA TO HER, SO DON’T BLOW A GASKET)
So they brought the kiddos, this time, eh?
These nut-jobs have been pulling this stunt since we invaded Afghanistan. Now that their anti-everything attitude is floundering more than it had before, they are obviously more desperate.
There are some great photos and a video of this stunt here.
Is it dissent or descent?
/i say the latter
Hey John.
I’m not quite following you. How exactly did Rosa Parks stop commerce or get in the way of anyone?
Jihadists use their children as human shields and sometimes suicide bombers…and leftists use their children as human shields…so many similarities…kinda makes you wonder.
She broke segregation laws and got in a white man’s way by refusing to move from her seat Nazar.
My point being that civil disobedience often involves just that: disobedience to laws that you view as unfair or unjust.
As I stressed before, this situation with the folks in Oregon blocking trucks doesn’t qualify (for me anyways).
But Robbie’s assertion that ‘good protestors’ don’t break the law is laughable.
Also, ever heard of the Stamp Act protests? Boston Tea Party? Ringing a bell?
John — let’s say you are at home, getting ready to go to a protest against the war.
I oppose protests, and don’t think you should go to that protest. In fact, I’m going to show up in front of your driveway with signs to voice my dissent.
But once I see that you are going to go anyway, I decide to stand in your driveway and physically prevent you from going to the protest.
Or your job.
Do you think you and or the police should be able to do whatever is necessary to remove me and/or prevent me from exercising your rights?
Well…it’s the same thing.
Good (and legal and valid) protests don’t infringe on the rights of other people who probably don’t agree with your particular point of view.
Kinda like my right to swing my fist wildly through the air stops just short of another person’s face.
Jihadists use their children as human shields and sometimes suicide bombers…and leftists use their children as human shields…so many similarities…kinda makes you wonder.
You’re right! Hippies are exactly like fundamentalist Islamists!
Hey John. Point well taken. You’ve pointed out some good examples, so I see what you mean.
Preston, I’m going to overlook your sarcasm to elaborate on what I said. The Left and the jihadists have many similarities. They both hate Israel. They both want to end American predominance in the world (they call it imperialism). They are both extremely intolerant of opposing viewpoints. And the jihadis get many of their talking points from the Left. Osama bin Laden even quoted a book called Rogue Nation in one of his videos, which was written by a Leftist.
The left may have good intentions, but the goals are the same.

That calendar is hilarious. Thanks for linking it.
Robbie:
No, I agree completely. Anybody breaking the law in the name of their protest should be prepared and expect to be arrested and dealt with to the full extent of the law.
I’m just pointing out that sometimes the breaking of unjust laws serves a greater good.
Robbie:
To clarify, I’m not comparing this particular incident to my examples, but it’s dangerous thinking to put so much faith in the letter of the law and not oppose it when it becomes unjust.
History is full of examples of heroic individuals who stood up in defiance to immoral and unjust laws to change their situation for the better.
