When I saw this headline for the Top 5 Chick Cars, I assumed that #1 had to be the new Volkswagen Beetle. Any car that comes with a flower vase on the dash just doesn’t really scream “masculine” to me…
The Top 5 Chick Cars:
- Volkswagen Beetle
- Mini Cooper
- Volkswagen Jetta
- Mazda Miata
- Ford Mustang Convertible
The Beetle, Cooper, and Miata I definitely agree with. Every time I see a guy driving one, I assume he’s driving his wife or girlfriend’s car…
I would add the Mitsubishi Eclipse and the Mercedes Benz SLK280 Roadster convertible to this list.

This old chick is looking for a car to buy next year. If the stock market continues its dive, I might be looking for a bicycle, but in the event things straighten out that Mercedes ain’t half bad.
Henh.
Dianne, you should consider the Pontiac Solstice, as it has some chick appeal, and is faster than the Boxster, in the factory turbo model.
Or, you could send your Solstice off to these guys. Other chicks would be left at the light, and you would save money on the price of a MB.
So pretty much if a man drives a small car he isn’t masculine?
The meaning of that isn’t too transparent, is it?
Not to worry, Preston. You’re cool, even tho a liberal.
No2 – Well, that Pontiac is pretty neat, but I guess I better keep my truck…lol
Henh…okay then, Dianne.
But isn’t a truck kind of…you know…masculine?
/lol
I never thought of the mini cooper as a chick car..it is more like an art student car. or more of a british/euro cool car. or just someone who likes cars that actually get more than 13 miles to the gallon. kind of funny if a guy actually gets his validation from the car he drives..yes I know it happens and we all kind of identify with our cars, but come on. but the new bug is for sure a chick car. or a total city boy/metro sexual dude. you won’t see too many cowboys or construction workers pulling up to the work site in a covertible bug….now that would be funny.! make a good SNL skit.
Marc, my most favorite car in the whole world, is a small car.
/large engine though…and masculine
no2 – I live in Kansas out in the country. Gotta have a truck. I need to haul stuff…y’know. Well, I have an Acura too and a John Deere riding mower. I’m a diverse person.
Just a little bit country, just a little bit rock ‘n roll.
Dianne, I understand.
Just pulling your leg a little, over the whole feminine/masculine thingie.
I can understand your vehicle choices, living in the country, but why does my friend who lives in Leavenworth(southside) need a Jeep Wrangler and a pickemup truck?
Speaking of chick cars, here in Dallas, most of the Ferrari F430′s I see are driven by chicks, as are most of the Bentley Continental GTs.
/i want one…of each
Well, I’m only 1/2 hr. from Leavenworth. First of all, it has a big federal prison. Second, it’s connected to a town with a state prison with signs along the street that read, Beware picking up hitchhikers! lol You need speed here!
Just kidding. Leavenworth is a pretty town. The prison is next to the base which is an officer training college and really quite beautiful. There are tours of some of the houses on base which are stately, old homes where most of the upper grade officers live and some of the houses are purportedly haunted! Very historical place.
Dallas is a cosmopolitan town. Haven’t been there in years, but believe me it’s a far cry from any town in Kansas…or even Missouri.
Given the stock market last week, looks like my 2008 car might be moving more towards used Acura 2001 which I already have! lol
I fly up and visit him, every now and then, and we have been all through Ft. Leavenworth and looked at those amazing historical Victorian homes, walked through the National Cemetery, and stood at the south wall and imagined the men fighting off the indian attacks, as well as looked down at Ol’Muddy from the eastern edge of the Fort.
It’s pretty country up there, and completely different than the western part of the state, which are in the Great Plains.
I keep telling him he needs to get a motorcycle and enjoy those hills and scenic roads, but he won’t.
