You would think that a major victory in the war in Iraq would be front page news.
You would think that American forces having routed Al Qaeda and driven them completely out of Baghdad would be front page news.
You’d be wrong.
The al Qaeda Times of New Yorkâ„¢ has the story buried on page A-19. If a Soldier had shot an Iraqi civilian or if another Marine was killed by an IED, you can bet that the “paper of record” would have updated their running “Grim Milestone” counter on the front page.
Baghdad is now free of al Qaeda.
Think about that for a minute, and just try to find a way to spin that as not a victory (because of the surge) for our troops and for the people of Iraq.
When we actually and completely win this war, but it’s never reported or acknowledged as such by the MSM — will the left keeping claiming that it’s an un-winnable quagmire?
