Brave Hillary ClintonIf Hillary Clinton had a penis, Glen Johnson at the Associated Press would be her Chief-Cocksucker:

When the hostages had been released and their alleged captor arrested, a regal-looking Hillary Rodham Clinton strolled out of her Washington home, the picture of calm in the face of crisis.

The image, broadcast just as the network news began, conveyed the message a thousand town hall meetings and campaign commercials strive for — namely, that the Democratic presidential contender can face disorder in a most orderly manner.

“I am very grateful that this difficult day has ended so well,” she declared as she stood alone at the microphone.

Calm and strong during the hostage crisis? Why wouldn’t she be …. she wasn’t there. She wasn’t in any danger what-so-ever. She wasn’t in charge of anything. And she played absolutely zero role in ending the crisis.

I’m sure she was concerned. We all were.

Hell, I was just as calm and strong during the crisis as Hillary was. Maybe the AP can come over here and give me a good slobbering, too.

“What biased media?” indeed.

Rick Moran at Right Wing Nut House: This is not a news story. It’s a campaign press release.

Leo Pusateri at Blogs for Victory: Err.., Glenn Johnson… Just wondering… did you smoke a cigarette after composing that piece?

Ed at Captain’s Quarters:

Hillary certainly didn’t do anything wrong, but she didn’t “take charge” as the AP implies, or look presidential, as Sabato declares. She certainly looks considerably less presidential today in trying to take credit for the professional work done by the Rochester PD yesterday. That looks a lot more like a politician than a President, and we already know her credentials for the former. This incident doesn’t provide Hillary any credentials for the latter.

Ann Althouse takes an interesting look at the “confused mommy” moment for Hillary Clinton.

Looking Like An Opportunist…

This is probably one of the worst instances of political opportunism in recent memory. In the wake of the deft handling of the hostage situation in New Hampshire yesterday by the state and local authorities, Hillary Clinton is attempting to t…

You may not be aware of this, even if you suspected it, but Hillary lied in her press conference. I know, it’s a shocka! Just another of her innocent fibs, like being named after Sir Hillary.

It wasn’t just the AP. Several newspapers and Blogs like Politico carried similar stories. You can tell it was effective because all the Clinton haters of left and right are in a real tizzy over this. Of course the nuttiest are talking of conspiracies which was entirely expected. They are, of course, right to be in a tizzy because Clinton did indeed look good and not just to an audience of at most a few hundred thousand who swarms the various political blogs but in front of around 90 million who tuned in at the two peak viewing hour of 6.30 and 11.00. Yep she had the regal air of someone who was in complete control of herself and the situation.

I don’t really get your fixation on depicting Democratic women as men and men as women. It seems kinda grade school.

Yep she had the regal air of someone who was in complete control of herself and the situation.

She had the regal air of someone a thousand miles and many states away and in absolutely no danger. And while I am sure she was concerned about the two hostages, it was clear early on that the guy was a nut and the device merely flares.

Got something you want to say?
