Longhorns beat UCLA

Last night, the #8 ranked University of Texas Longhorn men’s basketball team beat #1 ranked UCLA.

The loss ended a 25-game home court winning streak for the Bruins, and firmly plants the Longhorns as one of the top teams in the nation.

In fact, at 7-0 and with road wins over #7 Tennessee (a 19-point demolition) and #1 UCLA and an early season tournament championship (StubHub! Legends Classic) — when the new rankings come out this week, Texas should be at the top of the rankings (though they won’t be — it’ll probably be North Carolina).

Weird, weird season in Longhorns sports — Kansas has a better football team than we do, and we have a better basketball team than them.

Just blame the weird season on global warming, everything else is.
