The Left doesn’t just disagree with the views of the Right — they don’t think we should be able to voice them.

For all the bloviating about the “bias” at Fox News, it just screams hypocrisy when the Mother of All Liberal Media, The NY Times, actually moves towards more balanced (thus less Liberal) viewpoints and the Left freaks out about it.

What am I talking about?

Over at the Huffing-and-puffing Post, they’re freaking out at the news that the NY Times has hired conservative columnist Bill Kristol to write a weekly column in “their” paper.

Go read the comments. There are calls for boycotts, canceled subscriptions, and probably protests (because that’s what the Left does while the rest of us are working — they stand around on sidewalks with signs, chanting and raving).

Even Andrew Sullivan has it partly right (God, I can’t believe I’m quoting him favorably):

He’s obviously an extremely talented writer and editor, and I guess some naked partisanship on the right is necessary to balance out Krugman.

I don’t have much of an opinion on Bill Kirstol. I don’t read his stuff all that often. So I don’t particularly care much about his new gig with the NYT. But if it makes heads explode on the Left, it must be a good thing.

Funny how the ‘liberal media’ is filled with conservative voices.

I can’t wait until Rush Limbaugh starts inviting liberals to speak their mind with out keeping his finger on the cut mic switch…

That said, I’m not sure this isn’t a liberal plot to force Kristol to put his crap down on paper so it’s clear what a lunatic the man is.

Maybe the NYSlimes is finally getting a clue that this isn’t a leftard country, and they would actually like to start making money again.
Kristol has written some very good stuff, and is an excellent voice in the talking heads section of Britt Hume’s Special Report.

Got something you want to say?
