In many cases, beatings like these are often gang initiations, which are committed by not only black, but also latino and white people. Since most people have not noticed most of these atrocities take place during a certain time of the year, initiation time, and should be noted as that. I’m not defending their actions, but am in fact condemning them there is no reason that an innocent person should ever become involved in gang activities. I just want to bring to light that there are severely dangerous times of the year for women mostly, and this one could count herself lucky that she escaped with her life, some aren’t that lucky.

As for the comment about a certain race being a negative effect on society, that is complete BS, and it should be noticed that there are just as many mislead youths in other races. There should be more of an emphasis on family values, and less on an individuals pride, that would be a great start to begin shaping a better future for our children, and maybe things like this would not happen.

I agree with Patrick that there should be other stories played in the media since many of these stories are never even heard of by the public. But at the same time, if the media would air all the rapes murders and hate crimes there would not be enough time in the day.

My point is: the youth is misguided,
the media is misleading,
hatred is misdirected.

to GVT_FAILURE: we all have the same DNA, its nurture not nature which makes the person good or bad…some of us are born with extra abilities, but it’s up to them to choose how to use them. I hope your children aren’t mislead.

i dont see where it says it was a hate crime. i guess it has to be race based for some people but to think that blacks dont face these attacks from, whites and blacks is bogus. no need to race bait. theres gangs in bmore which explains this erratic behavior. these kids should pay for their crimes .i see an idiot blaming rap music which delievrs all kind of themse and isnt to black. people are young people without proper guidance. a few decades ago idiots were blaming rock and roll and heavy metal i guess its raps turn. funny you dont hold the movie industry responsible only rap.

I just get sick of it. No one will answer the hard questions…why are you robbing me? why are you shooting young black males….the statistics dont lie and they are very damning…it is not a racist thing… there is a serious problem with young black males in baltimore…the same that there is a problem with young white males in my dads county in va….down there they race their cars, drink, get into insane accidents and look like they really dont give a shit about anyhting. I tthinkl we need to stop throwing the racism card around and start throwing the “hey, why dont you give a shit about life, my personal property, and the general idea that we are here to have a good time”

i think we should return to banishing people to Australia…if they make it back, congrats! if not, they can live by their own rules…just not in my town.

I was cutting the grass today, some white kids drove by and flip the bird (finger) on me. I decided to keep cool but it made me angry that they did that. For that, i wish Obama would win the election and wish that 50 years from now all white people will be minority. By then, may be white people will realize what is like to be a minority and being ridicule. No wonder a lot of people don’t like white people because white people, especially the young people are born being bully. Columbine was caused by bullies. Sport mentalities in America, especially football, teaches kids to be bully. The culture teaches bully and aggorant.

[Editor --- You do know that the majority of NFL players, as well as the majority of NCAA football players are black, right?]

Feral beasts like these are overrunning our cities. The only solution is concealed carry. If animals like these knew there was a good chance they would not survive an encounter with law abiding citizens they might think twice. The justice system is a joke to these animals and they know if they get an all black jury they will walk. The whole ‘gangsta’ rap hip hop culture needs to be shut down by any means necessary.
