She’s been on welfare for 57, 58 years…ummm..doesn’t seem like she will ever CHOOSE to change…or be edgumucated either…her offspring i’m sure have learned her lessons on how to suck from the government as well.

She sucks. God loves everyone but we are sick of people like that sitting on their lazy asses and doing nothing and taking from others that work hard to provide for their families.
Just another worthless person with nothing to offer and taking up space.
WELFARE SHOULD HAVE LIMITS. THIS IS INFURIATING.

The Sharon Jaspers of this country need an awakening and realize that the majority is tired of paying for their lazy, nearly-worthless selves. It would serve every state to review every welfare recipient and those that have ANY ability to perform even the simplest task (picking up trash) should be placed on a state/city project to clock hours and EARN the moneys we pay to them. Only those with identified medical issues that cannot perform (medical issue as defined by STATE approved Doctors), should be allowed to collect their moneys.
Good luck on state of federal program that would have the balls to do this.

I have always had this idea and can’t understand why it would not work. Some people on public assistance really do want to better themselves. As a working mother, I know the biggest expense aside from the mortgage is child care. If these people want to stay on public assistance and have many children, and get the “free” ride, then you have to work in a child care facility so other productive members of society can go out and work and try to better themselves and GET OFF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE. Makes sense to me.

And another thing…the media has been in our town for the past few days covering a kid who graduated from our school and joined the Marines, and who came home in a box. He was killed in Afganistan last week. If I had to power to put one of the Sharon Jaspers of this world in his place – would I? In a New York minute. How about this for a scenario – if you want society to pay for sheltering, clothing and feeding your family – you have to put on a uniform and join the people who are laying their life on the line every day. Earn your keep. What a concept.

I am a single mom who has raised three children without ever being on “the draw”. Nothing is more nauseating than standing in the grocery checkout line behind the fat (they’re always fat) chick with the acrylic manicure, lots of gold jewelry, frosted highlights in her hair who is paying for her steaks and frozen dinners with her food stamp card. Because I was raised by incredible (hard-working) parents, I have instilled in me the ability to restrain myself from running over her in the parking lot with my $1500 used car. The solution is simple and obvious – limit benefits to one year unless the parents have been injured or disabled, institute mandatory monthly drug testing to everyone receiving assistance and any housing provided to leeches such as Sharon Jasper be given without TVs or any other luxuries that are unnecessary for basic survival. Take the money saved and invest in better housing and benefits for soldiers and their families.
