Reason #1001 to oppose Sen. John McCain — the NY Times has endorsed him.

Still, there is a choice to be made, and it is an easy one. Senator John McCain of Arizona is the only Republican who promises to end the George Bush style of governing from and on behalf of a small, angry fringe. With a record of working across the aisle to develop sound bipartisan legislation, he would offer a choice to a broader range of Americans than the rest of the Republican field.

We have shuddered at Mr. McCain’s occasional, tactical pander to the right because he has demonstrated that he has the character to stand on principle. He was an early advocate for battling global warming and risked his presidential bid to uphold fundamental American values in the immigration debate. A genuine war hero among Republicans who proclaim their zeal to be commander in chief, Mr. McCain argues passionately that a country’s treatment of prisoners in the worst of times says a great deal about its character.

What they’ve just described — and the reason they have endorsed him — is that, other than the WoT, he’s a complete Democrat on every other issue.

Hey, it’s the New York Slimes.
If I wasn’t already opposed to him, this endorsement would have pushed me away.

I will not vote for John McCain if he gets the nomination. In other words, it may be the first time in my lifetime I didn’t vote for President.

I’m not h appy with my vote for Bush and I’m sure as hell not going to vote for someone who I know I won’t be happy with.

So, there ya go Obama or Hillary. You get my vote by default. My next goal will be to get on the public dole somehow while maintaining my new home, big screen tv and avoiding my taxes by starting a small business designed to lose money while traveling the country to buy stuff (for the business, of course).

Classic. Just look at how many big wigs are jumping on Maccain. That should tell you he is a political sell out that they know they can control and it will be more of the same crap. Of course big money wants this guy. He will continue bushes non inforcement of the border for cheap labor, and he will cave the libs in most areas except this damn war that won’t end. I can’t stand this guy’s voting record in the last few years. He is NOT conservative people. It should be obvious to anyone with one brain cel he is bought and sold by the elite and he will do their bidding. At least Romney has said washington is broken and he will try to change that. Does Mac say that??? Hell NO, he IS washington and part of the problem. I will vote for him if he is the chosen ONLY because the dem choice is 10 times worse. It will NOT be because I in any way think he will do the right thing on most social, domestic issues. Lesser of two evils will be in full effect if that happens.

Got something you want to say?
