Police released this video tape of a full grown man thug kicking and beating a 19-month old baby at a convenience store in Detroit, MI.
The video from Dec. 21 shows a black man who is about 6′ tall and 300 lbs, hitting, kicking, and stepping on a child over a 4-minute span.
Joseph Gray, 27, of Detroit, was arrested Friday night after viewers saw his photo on televised news reports that also broadcast portions of the tape. Detroit police had released the tape that day to help capture him.
He was arraigned yesterday on child abuse charges in the beating of his girlfriend’s child.
What the hell is the matter with some people?
This guy needs to spend a very, very long time in jail in general population. It’ll be interesting to see how well he’s received when he tells all the other jail house thugs that he’s locked up for beating up an infant.

This miscreant won’t need to tell anyone what he is locked up for, they will know well before hand, and will be waiting for him. That’s if he doesn’t get to plea out for a reduced sentence.

I know they tend not to like pedophiles very much, so as an infant beater, I don’t imagine he will be well received. Many will question his toughness after beating on a small infant, and make him prove it.

No. Honor among thieves is a myth. You are more likely to be killed for your shoes in prison than because you’re a pedophile. And they do not give a shit if you murdered your wife/gf.
That being said, the kid is lucky to be alive. How many times have you read in the paper where a woman leaves her kid with her bf of three weeks to watch, he gets mad and punches the kid in the abd, rupturing their spleen and killing them?
Have you heard what this monster, Joseph Gray’s sentence was? I heard on the news early this week that he was expected to be sentenced to one year in prison. I was outraged. You would probably do more time for stealing a car. But I can’t find news of what the actual sentence was. Anyone know?
I would seriously like to adopt this kid. I have two of my own, I think he would be a great addition.

I only saw the video on “Caught On Tape” a few days ago. I know it’s over a year old now. I’ve been sick about it ever since. Many years ago I adopted a severely abused infant who had head trauma and ended up with brain damage. She is now 28 and my angel. She doesn’t speak, walk, and is still in diapers. I wish everyone knew how serious child abuse is, and the curse of a life too many children go through. I would take this little boy in a heartbeat. I live in Michigan and would pick him up today, and tell you how beautiful he is in 28 years. God bless everyone who was outraged by this sight. We know it happens, but to see it is so disturbing. Where can I find out as much as possible about this case? I just came across the video 1 week ago…Was infuriated. Says it was in 2008!! It’s FEB. of 2011!! My God ,what’s going on. It doesn’t mention the childs name, who turned the monster in….Who the mother is….How could she or others not see signs of something not right? Why did she trust this guy with her innocent baby…Is she a suspect too..Please if anyone knows how I can follow up on this case please help!!!
I, like you, just viewed the video and tried to find out on the internet what transpired after Joseph Gray was arraigned but couldn’t find anything.
Who cares what his sentence was? As soon as this shit is released, I’m going to find him, throw him in the back of my truck, take him to the woods and tie him to a tree and leave him there to die.
Michigan DOC # 459251 …Maximum release date for his 2nd degree child abuse charge is 4/10/2013. 4 years is all he got. I imagine he will be back to the DOC within a year of his release.
I saw the tape for the first time on the TV show “Caught on Camera”. My heart was hurting for the little boy. I love children and when I watched it, I almost cried. The mother should never trust boyfriends and sometimes even close relatives with their children. I hope that thug is getting the treatment he truly deserves in prison and I hope he is beaten by other prisoners often. May God bless the little boy and keep him safe others who are abused also.
