About a year ago I wrote about 23-year old Katie Rees, the former Miss Nevada beauty queen who was dethroned for some nude girl-on-girl pictures she posed for (the full gallery of those risky images can be found on my earlier post).

Katie Rees kissing a girl

Well, a year later she’s back in the news. For assaulting a police officer.

Rees, who lost her crown in 2006 after racy photos of her emerged on the Internet, was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday after she allegedly elbowed and kicked officers who pulled her over on a traffic violation, Las Vegas Metropolitan police told the station.

Rees was driving on a suspended license, police told FOX5Vegas.com.

Rees is being held in the Clark County Detention Center on six misdemeanor charges, according to the jail’s Web site. Those charges include resisting a police officer, driving with suspended license plates, driving on a suspended license and speeding.

Katie Rees mug shot

Now that is one fugly mug shot. Gives beauty queen-turned felon Kumari Fulbright a run for her money for “Worst Beauty Queen Mugshot”.
