You haven’t forgotten those poor, innocent, aggrieved children who were so unfairly mistreated and dubbed the “Jena 6“, have you?

Robert PurvisWell, one of those poor victimized kids is back in the news again? What injustice was done to 19-year old Bryant R. Purvis this time?

Apparently some other kid tried to assault Purvis’ fist using his face. The horror.

A “Jena Six” defendant has been released on bail today after his arrest on an assault charge after a fight with a fellow student at his new suburban Dallas high school.

Nineteen-year-old Bryant R. Purvis is now living in the Dallas area. He was freed from the Denton County jail today after he was charged with assault causing bodily injury.

Has the Rev. Al Sharpton already been dispatched to Denton to blame the victim for Purvis’ thuggery?

Purvis is still facing charges and a trial in Louisiana for his part in the 6-on-1 attack of Justin Barker. Purvis faces one count each of aggravated second-degree battery and conspiracy to commit the same. If convicted of both, he faces a maximum sentence of 22.5 years in prison.

And now he’s facing new assault charges, a Class A misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $4,000.

How many more kids does Purvis have to beat into unconsciousness or threaten with bodily harm before he is actually locked up? Maybe if we quit coddling this kid and actually made him take bear some responsibility for his thuggish behavior, he might have a chance of breaking the habit.

Here’s the local news story on this perp.
In the little box with the videos, the one on top is the interview with the victim of the assault.
While it is in Denton County, it is a Dallas suburb in Carrollton.
He’s a violent person, and is headed down that road, if he doesn’t get his shite straight.

19 and still in high school? Why am I not surprised that this fine, young man is still in school?

he’s not violent. he’s actually a nice kid. he’s just made some bad decisions. and this whole situation is being made into something its not, the kid is fine.. he doesn’t even have a mark on his face

No he’s not violent, and sure he’s a great kid, facing two separate charges that could get him 22 years in prison.
Just an energetic youth, eh?

he’s not violent.

so the jenna six(on one) beatdown and this new texas fight were of the nonviolent variety of assaults…

he’s actually a nice kid.

you mean when he isn’t acting like an asshole, right?

he’s just made some bad decisions.

ya think?

and this whole situation is being made into something its not, the kid is fine.. he doesn’t even have a mark on his face

what is it being made into and by whom? by your logic if i punch you in the face and it doesn’t leave a mark, then everything is “fine”?

What do you mean “the kid is fine, he doesn’t have a scratch on his face”. What do you call a black eye and red marks on the neck from where he had been strangled. But you are right from the standpoint of you can’t actually see his concussion. While you can’t see it, the concussion was confirmed by a doctor that same day.

I think that the media is making everything seem like he goes around and picks fights which isn’t true. He is really nice person. Everyone has made bad decisions but people still forgave you! And he is still in school at 19 because when he left jena he didn’t have all his credits! So back off all you people who think their Mr. and Mrs. perfect!!!!!!!

Angie, dear - your Louisiana education is showing . . . .

Got something you want to say?
