Maybe I missed the memo — but when did John Kerry complete his studies and degree in climatology? To think, all this time as a Senator, he was really becoming an expert on the weather.

Perhaps him and Al Gore went to the same Climatologist schools…

Otherwise, how the hell does John Kerry know that the tornadoes that hit the Southeast United States were “caused by global warming“? Hell the guy doesn’t even know the difference between Cambodia and Vietnam.

I wonder what Meteorologist John Kerry thinks is to blame for this: the most snow ever in Chicago. You hear that, Johnny. The most snow ever. In Chicago.

Or, since this is a “global” problem: “BRR. 260 DEAD in record cold in South Asia” (h/t to Glenn Reynolds)

Suppose that’s caused by “global warming”, too, eh? Or maybe you just want to blame that on “George Bush”?

For Pete’s sake.

So the “Winter Soldier” is now an expert on weather.
I was still waiting for his scholarly work on Genghis Khan.

Fox news is about to have Mark Halperin of Time magazine on. Halperin is reporting he has triple sourced the info, that Mitt drops out today.
Stay tuned.

Time for a Huck/Mac showdown!

Don’t forget Dr. Paul — he’s still in it.

I’m just hoping Paul stays in it long enough to burn through all of the cash he’s raised…so he doesn’t have any left to use for his (hopefully failed) congressional re-election campaign.

I’m not familiar enough with campaign finance laws and rules — but any money that Paul raised for his Presidential bid, can he use it for his c0ngressional campaign? (I have a feeling the answer is yes).

I can’t figure out what Huck wants. He must want something out of this deal since he knows it is nearly mathematically impossible for him to win. Maybe “nearly” is too strong a word. He will get some position from McCain I’m sure. He thinks he’s so funny maybe he’s bucking for David Letterman’s job.

Meteorologist John Kerry: Global Warming Is to Blame for What We Used to Call “The Weather”

Aren’t you equally guilty of using weather events to argue against the idea of global warming?

Preston, for anyone, much less a nonscientist John Kerry, to say that global warming was responsible for those tornadoes is kinda crazy don’t you think. Now, c’mon, even you must agree that off the cuff statement was ridiculous. The cause was two strong opposing fronts bumping into each other which is what causes severe weather and tornadoes and this has been the cause since the beginning of time!

I’m beginning to think this country is going down the drain when a noted senator can make such an outlandish statement two days after such an event.

Hey it’s raining, must be global warming. Oh my God, tornados never happened before today……..!!!!!! Libs want to have us riding horses, making wagon wheels so we don’t destroy the planet. All the while the rest of the world advances, we will be guilted and TAXED back into the stone age. Yes we need to get off oil, I am ALL for that. But lets get solar, wind, hydro, fuel cel, going here…..Oil won’t last forever, not even another 100 years at this level. We better wake up while we have the time to switch over.

kinda crazy don’t you think

Yup. But about the same as saying snow in Chicago yesterday is proof against global warming.

(Leaving aside, for the moment, the theory held by climate change scientists that storm activity will increase when there is more energy in our climate system)

Dianne, it really isn’t that difficult to understand, and for once try and consider there are no nefarious motives.
Mike is in it to win it.
When he got in, that was his goal. It’s succeed or fail, that simple. If he gets about 75% of the remaining delegates he can win, or force a convention vote. He has a life other than politics, unlike Mc. He sits on the board of one of my best clients business, and he is dearly loved by everyone from the President of the organization, to the secretary’s. He’s a good man, which I think makes it difficult for those who haven’t taken time to listen or study him to understand, because of all the sleazy politicians we’ve become accustomed to.

Robbie, unless they have changed the rules, all unspent campaign funds can be put in a war chest for future campaigns. Sorry. I would like to see him lose his Congressional seat too.

Robbie, this anal sphincter has become a lovely pink mist, and is frolicking in Hell with his 72 goats.

Dianne, crunched the numbers, and of the remaining 1008 delegates left, Mike needs 995.
Go Mike!

Don’t make the bad name for Texans worse. If you would get of your horse, cowboy, and read a book (maybe Hell and High Water by Joseph Romm) you would know that Kerry is correct. You don’t have to be a scientists to understand the facts. The burning of fossil fuels by humans is creating more greenhouse gases, which is warming the earth, which is melting ice all over the world, changing ocean currents, bringing drought, heavy rainfall, and we are basically freaking out the earth. Maybe if you weren’t so high all the time or chewing on tobacco, you would read.

LOL!
Ol’NotFromEarth must have seen algore’s movie…lots of times.
Actually notfromaroundhere, compared to other periods of time, Earth is in a CO2 deprived state. But what is really funny, is the timing of your comment, as this story was reported today.

Back in 1991, before Al Gore first shouted that the Earth was in the balance, the Danish Meteorological Institute released a study using data that went back centuries that showed that global temperatures closely tracked solar cycles.

To many, those data were convincing. Now, Canadian scientists are seeking additional funding for more and better “eyes” with which to observe our sun, which has a bigger impact on Earth’s climate than all the tailpipes and smokestacks on our planet combined.

And they’re worried about global cooling, not warming.

My advice to notfromaroundhere is to step away from the bong.

Got something you want to say?
