Keeping track of Michelle “Magdalene” Obama’s idiotic utterances in regards to her husband’s Messianic campaign:
- Our souls are broken. And only Obamassiah! knows and understand this. Only Obamassiah! can fix and save our broken souls. (I’m paraphrasing)
- People are in debt, not because of frivolous spending, but because someone got sick. If we had socialized medicine, there would be no more debt.
- For the first time in my adult life, I’m really proud of America.
- Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual.
To which we add the latest stupid thing that Michelle Obama has said:
I have to say that my life now is not really that much different from many of yours. I wake up every morning wondering how on earth I am going to pull off that next minor miracle to get through the day. I know that everybody in this room is going through this. That is the dilemma women face today. Every woman that I know, regardless of race, education, income, background, political affiliation, is struggling to keep her head above water.
Are you fucking kidding me? First of all, let’s examine Michelle’s life of struggle — she’s Princeton and Harvard Law educated, between her and Barack’s half-million dollar a year salary, million dollar book deals, having to “get by” in their $1.6 million dollar Chicago home — this woman wants us to believe that she “struggles” to get through each and every day?
Puh-fucking-please.
This self-righteous bitch thinks it’s actually a minor miracle that she can get through her days of affluence and privilege. How pathetically and disgustingly insulting to real people who are making do with a magnitude of order less than the Obamas have been blessed with. And most of those people don’t believe that they are “struggling to keep” their heads “above water.”
As soon as I read that, I asked me wife if she felt the same way as Michelle insinuated that ALL women feel. My wife laughed.
I called my mother, who raised 5 children on her own after my dad ran out when my mom was only 23-years old. Typical of her time, she didn’t have anything more than a high school diploma. There were years, she tells me, where we lived on less than $9K per year. For 6 people. But we made do.
My mom now spends her days making quilts and taking care of my 71-year old step-father, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. They get by on their savings and their Social Security checks in their small home in East Texas. And yet she counts everyday as a blessing and counts the riches of her life. She said she’s never felt as bleak as Michelle’s quote sounded.
I called my mother-in-law, who is leaning towards voting for Barack (my father-in-law is a Navy man, and is solidly for John McCain). She was shopping at Talbot’s and having a cup of java from $5bucks. She was getting several new outfits for their twice annual get-away to Santa Fe, where they own a second home.
When I asked her if she thought it was a minor miracle to get through each day, and if she felt that she was “struggling to keep her head above water”, she sighed, and asked if Michelle really said that. I said yes, and she said, “well, that’s just ridiculous”.
Exactly.
Not only does Michelle know how to play the race card, but she’s holding trips on the gender card, too.
_______
Compare that to what Hillary said last night:
Clinton stated that whatever she goes though is nothing compared to what others suffer. She said she was honored to be here, honored to be running with Barack Obama…
It was a moment of honest grace from Senator Clinton last night. Clinton knows that, despite what she has suffered (and with Billy Jeff as her husband, she has suffered some humiliating and trying moments as a woman) — she knows it’s nothing compared to what other women suffer.
But not Michelle, she counts her life-of-privilege right on par with the rest of the women out there who are legitimately suffering and struggling.

Did you actually watch any of the speeches you quote (the 10 second Fox News clip doesn’t count).
If you had you’d know you are distorting her words beyond recognition. As I wrote yesterday, the ’soul’ comment was directly preceded by a commentary on the poor treatment of veterans coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
When I first saw the truncated quotes my thought was- damn, someone’s got to shut that woman up. After watching the clips it’s clear she is the victim of a Fox News character assassination.
[Editor --- I can see and somewhat understand the spin on the "broken soul" comments. But I'd like to see your spin on the "minor miracle" and "every woman" "head above water" quote. How can that be taken any other way than what she literally said? If words matter so much to the Obama's, why the constant need to go back and spin what she "meant" versus what she actually said?]
