Our Terrorist Enemies are Drooling

UPDATE (Sept 29, 2008) — The video is no longer available. Funny how clips of stuff that can be used against Obama have a way of disappearing on YouTube…

_______

If we can’t beat Barack after this campaign ad, then God help us all:

The Obamassiah! wants to destroy and tear down the greatest asset in our country — our vast superiority in defense and combat technologies.

Essentially, the technologies that allow us to defend our nation, our homes, and our families from the wolves and Islamics who would rather destroy us.

He promises to:

  • Cut investments in unproven missile defense systems
  • Not weaponize space
  • Slow our development of future combat systems

I’ll admit some bias here, as our company produces both missile defense systems and combat systems (though, as our systems have been fielded in combat by all four branches of the military for more than 15 years, I’d say that they are quite proven).

Barack has obviously never heard this Latin phrase before: sic vis pacem parabellem. It translates into English, “If you want peace, prepare for war.” (h/t Wake Up America)

After he disarms America (all the way down to our rights to own handguns — he wants to ban all semi-automatic weapons, too. Which includes my S&W .40, and almost every other non-revolver handgun in America), he wants to ban the world’s greatest form of clean energy:

…a global ban on fissile material..

A global ban on all nuclear energy? Sorry France (78% of their energy is derived from nuclear energy). Sorry to the rest of the world who likes nuclear power. It’ll be interesting to see how Obamawarrior! gets the Iranians and the North Koreans to agree to this one. You know, without invading and bombing them.

OTHERS:

  • Stop the ACLU — “Vote for me, I will make our nation helpless in an increasingly violent world!”
  • WizBang — “Barack Obama’s new campaign ad basically outlines all the ways he’s going to screw us over as president.”
  • BlackFive — “Let me be blunt Senator, you are an idiot”

Yeah - here’s how real men do the war-thing: (tick-tick)

[Editor --- Pat, you have no idea how real men "do the war thing". You don't even know what the "real war thing" is. Let me give you a hint --- it starts with raising your right hand and swearing to protect this great country. It starts with putting on the uniform of this country. It means volunteering to put yourself between the horrors of war and the people you love at home. Even the ones who don't support or respect you.

I get the distinct impression that you have very little idea how real men do anything.]

Days since Mission Accomplished: 1764

[Editor --- again, if you'd ever served, you would know that within any war, there are numerous missions. And, once you finish one mission, you're not done. You simply move on to the next one.]

Direct costs per minute of Iraq war and occupation, according to the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation: $238,425

Direct costs of Iraq war and occupation for the 326 days remaining in Mister Bush’s term: $111,926,232,000

Direct costs of Iraq war and occupation for the 100 years of McCain’s wet-dream: $12,531,618,000,000

Number of times al Qaeda has attacked the US again since 9/11: 0

Number of people that Saddam will ever kill again: 0

Number of dead terrorists: not enough, but we’re working on it.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

In the above quote, that last himself, is you.

So if B-HO gets his way, the money Pat is so concerned about being spent in the GWOT will be what…returned to us in tax cuts, because we were clearly overtaxed in the first place? Or would B-HO and his Marxist and terrorist allies have more money for social(ist) programs?
Yeah, ol’B-HO is definitely a change agent, but not all change is adaptive.

For information purposes, the official Danish apology to the muslim world.
That would include B-HO and his family.

Interesting.
Found an old NYSlimes article from 6 Mar 07, by Nicholas D. Kristof. Bugmenot code needed, try username:asdfjkl207/password:asdfjkl.
In this article, B-HO makes the comment:

Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”

What is the call to prayer he related in a first-rate accent?

“Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet… “

I have seen people dismiss his birth right as a muslim, dismiss his attending mosque prayers on an irregular basis until he was a teen, dismiss his muslim family relations, dismiss his dressing as a muslim, dismiss his NoI associations, but according to muslims, when those words are uttered in the first line of the call to prayer, there is no doubt he is a muslim.

The Shahada can be declared as follows:

“ASH-HADU ANLA ELAHA ILLA-ALLAH WA ASH-HADU ANNA MOHAMMADAN RASUL-ALLAH”.

The English translation is:

“I bear witness that there is no deity (none truely to be worshipped) but, Allah, and I bear witness that Mohammad is the messenger of Allah”

Number of times al Qaeda has attacked the US again since 9/11: 0

You know for sure that the anthrax attacks weren’t al Qaeda?

More to the point, how on earth does spending billions of dollars on missile defense, space defense, and weapons systems designed to fight the Soviets ensure that an airliner isn’t flown into the Sears Tower?

Any honest accounting of how the Pentagon allocates money would reveal that it is influenced more by distributing pork and balancing the different branches rather than a cold assessment of the dangers faced by the United States. Of all of the lessons of September 11th this should be near the top of the list.

Given his chosen profession and neighborhood, I’m guessin’ that Robbie’s wallet is well-stocked with all that Pentagon (your) pork too. God Bless America.

Russia’s missiles aren’t our main concern right now.
Iran’s are.

According to the analysis of the BND [a German intelligence agency], Iran has bought 18 unassembled mobile rockets of type BM-25 (range 2500km and then had the rockets remodelled, based on the Russian submarine rocket SS-N-6, to obtain a 3500 km range. This is exactly the distance Teheran-Berlin.
——————–
Also the US is entering the sights [of Iran]. According to the BND, a delivery of aluminum rings from China has been discovered. These building parts “have as their main use the construction of a multi-stage rocket body with a range of potentially up to 10000 km.”

That any grown person believes the fantasy that this isn’t a dangerous world is a constant source of amazement to me. While you are all safe and snug behind your monitor, never having done anything to provide for the common defense of this country, but ridiculing those that have, exemplifies how distorted you are as liberal ideologues. Liberals would be the first to scream outrage if our country were attacked, as to why wasn’t someone looking out for us, why wasn’t there a military, why wasn’t there a missile defense, etc. The defense community is constantly working to stay ahead of the threats that this country faces in a dangerous world. Fortunately for the rest of us, they aren’t concerned with the mealy-mouthed sniping of do nothing, know nothing liberals, who if faced with a threat would run to the nearest Marine for protection, like this nasty witch.

I just got shivers No2…re NY Times article. Why does this information not come out? It would be the end and I mean the end of his candidacy. He couldn’t get elected dog catcher.

Dianne, it’s all out there, but the emotion driven jock-straps for B-HO don’t care and don’t understand. By uttering that first line of the call to prayer, with a perfect accent, tells me this is nothing new. The Shahada is what one must say to become a muslim, and as his utterance to the reporter shows, he reaffirmed his commitment to islam, and probably does so regularly.
I found it remarkable that the reporter just went on with his story as though nothing of great import had taken place.

This story just broke that underscores the point I’ve been making about the political nature of military funding: the new tanker that the Air Force is purchasing happens to be constructed in twenty states with suppliers in 49 states. Imagine if this could be replaced by equipment manufactured for 1/20th the cost in just one congressional district. Do you believe that alternative would be supported by the 98 Senators who are able to trumpet the value of this tanker?

Of course this just one anecdote that stands in for the whole symbiotic military-industrial relationship. In the 1950’s and 60’s- even despite President Eisenhower’s warnings- it’s arguable that this corruption only served to ‘over-arm’ the US not to weaken us. But now we face an entirely different enemy than the Soviet Union- one that require different tactics and weapons than fighting a conventional nation-state. Yet Congress and the Pentagon are hooked on high value weapons systems. Luckily Barack Obama isn’t afraid to take a politically unpopular decision to protect this country.

Imagine if this could be replaced by equipment manufactured for 1/20th the cost in just one congressional district.

Well, you’d have to “imagine” it. Because that’s the only way building and equipping these tankers in one district would be possible. In a liberal imaginative fantasy land.

Prior to working for my current gig, I used to work for a company that made high-end configuration software for companies like Boeing (actually, Boeing was a customer).

Do you have any idea how many parts are on a Boeing aircraft? And how many different configurations (and thus part combinations and dependencies) there are?

And from how many different places all of those parts are designed and manufactured in?

Northrop Grumman won a big chunk of that contract. They have major offices and facilities in several cities throughout California and Virginia.

The problem with your utopian idea of it all being done in “one Congressional district” is pipe dream because all of the infrastructure to do so doesn’t exist in any one district. All of the people who have the knowledge, skills, and ability to do so, do not all live in one district.

You would have to build all of that infrastructure. You would have to move thousands of companies to one place to achieve your fantasy.

With that said, I am disappointed that this contract couldn’t have been won by Boeing instead of Airbus . But at the end of the day, Boeing didn’t have what the military needed:

“More passengers, more cargo, more fuel offload, more patients that we can carry, more availability, more flexibility and more dependability,” Gen. Arthur Lichte, the commander of the Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, said of the Northrop Grumman-EADS KC-45A tanker.

In a liberal imaginative fantasy land.

Liberal? A hypothetical thought experiment? Whatever.

The point of the hypothetical wasn’t to advocate for a weapons system to be built in a single district but to illustrate the efforts that the weapons industry goes to make sure that each Congressman is sufficiently bribed.

look up fissile material.
look up nuclear power.
get a high school physics student to explain the difference to you.

have them explain why a implies b does not mean that the reverse is true.

I think that Obama should not disarm America because we could get into a crisis situation and It will be his fault and we might have a nuclear bomb head our way if that happens and disarming America is a really stupid idea.

This is bull.Obama will not disarm America`s Nuclear arsenal.I refuse to believe that the man is that stupid.I believe what he said was that America would not disarm unilaterally and that as long as other countries retained Nuclear weapons so too would the U.S.A.
America has to be able to defend itself from those those that would bring us harm. Some people like to question the necessity of America having the world`s most largest and powerful Nuclear arsenal.Right now,I would say that arsenal is needed more than ever.I`m no gun-loving hunter but it`s like Bruce Willis once said about the idea of banning good law-abiding folks from owning firearms:”if we outlaw guns the only ones with the guns will be the outlaws.”In other words than the good guys wouldn`t be able to protect themselves and those who need their protection from
the evil fanatics of this world(and that`s not right-wing propaganda, evil exists).Their continued existence will always mean that the shadow of Armageddon may loom somewhere off in the distance, but it`s just a necessary precaution that has to be taken.
