The winning plate was the third one shown below, with the clouds over the sea of blue. They’ve started producing them at the Wynn Unit in Huntsville, and they’ll start rolling out in a few months.

I’m not a fan of the current general issue state license plates for Texas (the bottom plate in the following image).
Starting today, Texans can vote on a new license plate design:

I’m not particularly thrilled with any of these new designs…but I like the third one (with the clouds over some low lying hills) more than the others.
In addition to a new design, Texas plates are going from 6 digits to 7, as the number of possible plate combinations with 6 digits is nearly exhausted.




3,4, or 5. like the one with space shuttle best. it has all the trademarks.
