Astounding that the left hates the military (and this country) so much just considering the fact that they couldn’t pull ANY of their shit living with the terrorists and tyrants they love so much. Do they really think all those fine communist/socialist/marxist/stalinist/fascist leaders they love would let them live their lives in the same fashion they are afforded now? Of course not, not even remotely; they get the privilege of living in the greatest country in the world with the knowledge that the world’s best military is there to protect them from the people that would love nothing better than to kill them.

I’m more than willing to sacrifice more than a few of our leftist turds just to teach the rest of them a lesson. Maybe we can start with allowing North Korea to permanently annex Berkeley, and we’ll take a poll afterwards to see how many people still hate the US and it’s military.

Hmmmmm, “the left” hates the military so much it doesn’t want them to die in a senseless war.

Stay tuned for the response posts on the left that analyze the activities of Christian Identity churches and attribute their actions to “the right”. That would have about as much legitimacy as this ridiculous spiel.

To be clear: The people criticizing military recruiters are fringe elements. Show me one Dem elected official who supports them and I’d be very surprised.

[Editor — The Left continuously chanting “senseless” war doesn’t make it so. For most of the Left, ALL war is senseless. But nonetheless, war’s are necessary sometimes — always have been, always will be.

As for Dems who support these groups? The list of Code Pink and Moveon.org supporters in the Democratic party is long and distinguished.]

The war in Afghanistan was necessary. The war in Iraq was senseless.

Also Iraq was much more “peaceful” before we got there.

Finally, please name one Dem politician who’s publicly stated views that are similar to what you describe here.

Northern France was relatively peaceful from the fall of 1940 until the summer of 1944. That’s when the evil Allied Killing Machine invaded and tens of thousands of French civilians died. Hey, I mean, France never invaded America. Okay, that French and Indian War thing, but that was a long time ago.

Things were MUCH more “peaceful” in France under the Nazis.

Rick, I’m not the one who claimed military action in Iraq was justified to “bring a semblance of peace to a country that hasn’t known any in a long, long time.”

There are many countries run by dictators. We couldn’t possibly invade them all, and it wouldn’t benefit America to do so, just as the Iraq invasion did nothing to further American interests.

military action in iraq was justified by a laundry list of reasons. closing your eyes to them doesn’t equate to them not existing. the iraq invasion has done, is doing, and will continue to do plenty to further american interests. perhaps, gfb, you are among the many who don’t actually understand american interests.

Never mind the seventeen unanimous UN resolutions that Saddam ignored, or the weapons inspectors he kicked out…twice, or the agreement that was signed in the Operation Desert Storm and was violated, or that he tried to assassinate former President Bush, or that Saddam was depriving his country and people of the infrastructure, medicine, and food, through the UN Oil For Food Palaces program, or the full-time rapists that were employed by Saddam, or his aggressive pursuit for WMD, or his massing troops at the Kurdish borders waiting for us to blink so he could attack, or his attempts to shoot down our jets in the no-fly zones…daily.
No, what matters is, it was a peaceful country, in terms of those sitting comfortably here in the U.S., with the illusion that those things can’t and don’t effect us in any way, now or in the future.
What has been accomplished since Saddam was sent swimming on the river Styx, is remarkable, and with much room for improvement. One thing that is clear, that the spread of freedom into Iraq’s neighbors, particularly Iran, will be accelerated, as 90% of Iraq tourism comes from Iran, and they are going back with tales of Iraqi’s new rights. It was great to see the Iraqi people rise up and protest the President of Iran’s visit last week. It was not mission accomplished for Monkey Boy.
