Governors who hire adult prostitutes must resign immediately lest the public trust be forever sullied. Presidents who break the law by spying on Americans with no warrants, who torture people in violation of multiple treaties and statutes, who start hideously destructive wars based on false pretenses, who repeatedly proclaim the power to ignore laws, and who imprison people — including Americans — with no charges of any kind, should remain in office for as long as they want. Anyone who suggests otherwise is an irresponsible, shrill, partisan radical.

Typical moonbat. Spitzer prosecuted people for the same behavior he was engaging in. If you don’t think that destroys public confidence, then you are nuts. Wait — you are already nuts.

Spitzer resigned because he is going to be indicted and is facing prison time. At his sentencing, he can argue that he showed remorse at an early stage, a mitigating factor, which should be considered when determining his sentence. It was a tactical decision on his part.

Mrs. Spitzer looked pretty haggard at the press conference this morning with double bags under her eyes. Her hair didn’t look too good either. She’s probably spent the last several days in the shower.

I see Pat is being his usual shrill partisan self.
I posted the “Goodbye” song the other day, as I knew where this was going. Listened to a little of his self-serving adios speech today, but turned it off after the first minute or two. He’s in the admit nothing/deny everything mode now, but soon he will try the attack your accusers ploy. It’s in the donk’s playbook, written by the last donk President.
I’ve discussed the “stand by your man” approach taken by Mrs. Spitzer, and others, to some colleagues and friends, and we all agree that in the real world, he would be standing up there by himself, with what belongings he could carry, sitting in the trunk of his car. Just as with Hillary, there has to be something more valuable than suffering public indignity, in order for her to do that.
Other thoughts on this, center on what an idiot this guy is. A beautiful family, a good name, respect, and a hefty bank account, due to his inheriting his father’s hundreds of millions of dollars.
He has lost two things that are the most difficult to acquire, and that is trust and his good name. His daughters and wife will never be able to look him in the eye again, with the same level of adoration and trust. He will never regain his good name.
If I were he, I would take those millions and go hang out somewhere expensive.
Maybe a Ferrari F430 Spyder.
