I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend (that’s my lovely wife and our Great Dane, Angus, at an Easter Weekend Pet Expo).
Though my wife and I are not religious people, I fully understand, appreciate, and respect the importance of the Easter story to Christians. The story of sacrifice, forgiveness, and resurrection are important to all people, and the Easter story serves as an important reminder and lesson to even non-Christians.
My weekend was spent watching a lot of college basketball (Hook ‘em Horns!), and painting my bike frame. Oh, and I did squeeze in a BBQ run down to Smitty’s Market in Lockhart, too.
I bought a new road bike (for the MS 150) on Ebay — it was exactly what I was looking for (an Orbea Aspin, decked out with all Dura-ace components and extensive carbon upgrades) except for one small detail: it was a pink bike. And I mean pink.
So I spent the weekend disassembling the bike, stripping away all that pink paint, sanding the frame down, and priming. I’ll throw a few coats of color on it this evening, change out the pink cable covers, apply new stickers, and then add a clear coat sometime later this week.

Spent Saturday spit-shining the house for Easter company.
Then spent most of Sunday getting my a$$ run ragged by my 26 month old grandson.
Good day, even if I’m sore.
And my daughter is already tired of the noise of the big bright red Dodge Viper I stuffed in his easter basket.
