It’s been apparent for quite some time that Mamet is a Zionist neocon bullshitter. This screed is just additional evidence. And the burblings of those who agree with him are quite amusing in their ignorant fatuity. “Conservatives know how to run businesses.” Yeah, right. Anyone who has any inkling of the degree of corporate corruption in this country must’ve gotten a good laugh out of that one. But then anyone who approvingly quotes the likes of dunce Chris Matthews will say anything no matter how demonstrably idiotic. We’ve had eight years of hard-right conservative malgovernance, preceded by Clintonian triangulation. So conservatives have been in power for quite some time now — remember Reagan anyone? Does anyone seriously believe we’ve been better off for all that? And as far as liberals “giving away” our money, what the fuck do you call Bush’s tax cuts? I’m not even a liberal — I’m an independent leftist. Liberals too often bend over for right-wingers and engage in a lot of shit I hate, like military intervention abroad. JFK was one such liberal. He’s been overpraised, regarded as some paragon of progressivism when he was nothing of the sort. But to use the obvious failings of liberalism to tout the supposed superiority of conservatives and Republicans is lunacy.
