UPDATE — Unfortunately, the buzz for Kevyn Bazzy wasn’t that great. While there will be a run-off in District 22 (probably between Shelley Sekula Gibbs and Pete Olson), Bazzy won’t be in that run-off after garnering only 1.5% of the votes.

_______

Though I cant’ vote in District 22, I have endorsed Republican Kevyn Bazzy in this key Congressional district race.

Perhaps the state’s most conservative district in Texas was lost to Dem. Nick Lampson last year when Tom Delay stepped down. Shelley Sekula Gibbs ran against Lampson and lost by 10 points in the general election.

I don’t think she could beat him this time, either.

I’m backing Kevyn Bazzy because he’s an Army Soldier (a Major in the Army Reserves, and because he seems to be a man of honesty and integrity. And God knows we could use more of that in Congress.

Besides, the last thing the District 22 GOP candidate needs is ties to Jack Abramoff (like another candidate in today’s race). Corruption already cost us the seat in 2006.

If you live in District 22, please consider casting your vote for real change by voting for Kevyn Bazzy.
