I guess it's fair to say you don't spend much time on Obama's website to see what he actually thinks about the issues: Barack Obama deeply respects Americaâ€™s sportsmen and is committed to protecting their rights. Tens of millions of Americans hunt and fish. Obama believes that we can protect the rights of hunters and other lawful gun owners while still working to reduce gun violence and make sure that guns do not fall into the hands of criminals or the mentally ill. If I may speak for Obama, I think it's fair to say no, he would not advocate other states to follow DC's lead. [Editor --- You do know that Obama has said that he wants to outlaw all semi-automatic weapons. That would include nearly every single hand gun made today (except revolvers). Besides, and more importantly, the second amendment isn't about protecting a man's right to hunt deer. It's intended to protect his right to protect himself from his government or his ill-intended fellow man. I don't hunt. But I do own and carry weapons in order to protect myself and my family from those who would do us harm.]

Of course we will have to wait a while for the ruling, and more than once we have been fooled by the ruling based on the hearing. In this case, though, I think we will see a ruling that doesn’t contradict the evidence or the testimony.
Just looking at D.C. alone, the evidence is clear that the ban imposed on it’s citizens has been an abysmal failure, as all forms of violent crime exploded after the ban was put into effect.

One thing we can agree on…
