Mark your calendars, as today I 100% agree with Nancy Pelosi —  the Speaker of the House wants President Bush to boycott the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics being held in China.

I do too. I don’t think it’s appropriate for President Bush to be there.

Conversely, Pelosi also believes that the athletes themselves should not boycott the Opening Ceremony.

Again, I agree. The athletes are the ones who earned this opportunity of a lifetime to compete for their country. They should be allowed to enjoy every single moment of it.

However, if the athletes themselves decided to boycott the opening ceremony, I would fully support that as well — as long as it’s their decision, and not made for them by a politician or governing body.

Seconded.

I didn’t know he was planning on going there.
I wonder what is really going on with her on this. It’s not like her to take a position against a fellow traveler in Marxism, though that may be it, as they are Maoist.
For me to agree with her on anything, she needs to be pushing the free trade agreement with Columbia for approval in Congress.

Oh…and W, stay out of China…please.

Got something you want to say?
