Mark your calendars, as today I 100% agree with Nancy Pelosi —Â the Speaker of the House wants President Bush to boycott the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics being held in China.
I do too. I don’t think it’s appropriate for President Bush to be there.
Conversely, Pelosi also believes that the athletes themselves should not boycott the Opening Ceremony.
Again, I agree. The athletes are the ones who earned this opportunity of a lifetime to compete for their country. They should be allowed to enjoy every single moment of it.
However, if the athletes themselves decided to boycott the opening ceremony, I would fully support that as well — as long as it’s their decision, and not made for them by a politician or governing body.

Seconded.
