Barack Obama — Not in Favor of Americans’ Rights to Defend Themselves

If Barack Obama was perfect in every other way — if we agreed to a tee on every single other issue but this one, it would still be too much to vote for him:

“I am not in favor of concealed weapons,” Obama said. “I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations.”

Barack Obama is radically anti-second amendment. He has always taken anti-second amendment stances, such as stating that he would work to prohibit all semi-automatic weapons. Which means almost all hand guns.

And if he’s our next President, you can bet your ass that any and all Supreme Court justices that he gets to appoint will “interpret” the constitution to prohibit Americans’ rights to defend themselves.

I think Barry should start by asking his Secret Service to not carry concealed hand guns. Or any handguns, for that matter.

If I were Hillary, I would bring this up every single time I spoke to anybody in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

Though we already own several handguns, a shotgun, and a rifle, I plan to buy at least two more semi-automatic handguns before November.

And if Obama wins the Presidency, I have four words for him — try and take ‘em.

I would just as soon wait and let the GOP use this info.

It’s obvious B-HO has a glass jaw, which he doesn’t recognize, as he keeps jutting it out. Many of us learn early in life, at least I did with two older brothers, and that is to never lead with your face.

I don’t know what you are interested in for semi-autos, but I have been eye-balling the S&W M&P and their variants, as well as the Taurus 24/7.

Both in 45ACP, of course.

If I add anything to my collection, I will need another safe. I have all the tools I’ll ever need, but I will never have all the tools I want.

Liberal here. Obama supporter. But I’m for the 2nd Amendment. I’m all about amendments, as a matter of fact. Even though I am pretty sure that if I did own a gun, it would have gotten me shot and killed on this night.

But that’s not the point I come here trying to make. I agree with Obama that they get innocent people killed (click the link above to see one instance where that would have been true) but that doesn’t mean I want to eradicate concealed handguns or take away anyone’s right to own a gun. So I could have made a similar statement if I were running for president, but that doesn’t automatically appoint Supreme Court justices to do away with the 2nd amendment.

And, finally, I’d like to say that Obama will probably be too busy attempting to repair the amendments that Bush has sullied during his time in office…not to mention trying to restore our compliance with the Geneva Convention (how is this acceptable to anyone?).

That is all. Don’t shoot! (I kid.)

I’m looking at a Heckler & Koch USP Compact .40 S&W.

Wanting another good, but smaller for everyday carry (I currently carry a Heckler & Koch USP in .45 ACP).

I should caution you to only shoot jacketed rounds with your HK, as lead SWC’s in the HK polygonal rifled barrels makes for bad joo-joo.

My boss (retired Chief Warrant Officer, US Army) is serious gun guy. Shoots competitively, avid hunter, obsessive collector.

I went and talked to him this morning about the best options for concealed carry, and he didn’t even hesitate, said there is only one gun he would ever consider or recommend to anybody:

Kimber Compact II .45 ACP

Though it’s a little pricey ($1225) he said he has several other .45’s and that this one blows them all away in terms of reliability, accuracy, and ease of concealment.

We’re fortunate enough to live close to a Cabela’s so I can go check one out in person this afternoon.

Well, when it gets time to debate McCain, Obama’s glass jaw is going to be shattered, not necessarily because McCain is a good debater, which he is not, but because Obama will defeat himself with his radical positions.

Robbie, I was never asked to make a recommendation, but I strongly concur with your boss. There is a reason they are so pricey, and it is reflected in their fit and finish, their features, and performance.
Put one in your hand, and see how it fits, but don’t buy it at Cabela’s, wait for a gun show, you could get it for several hundred less than MSRP.
Also take a look at the Ultra Carry II LG, it comes with meprolight sights, and a crimson trace grip.
The weight of the weapon might be a little off-putting for concealment, as opposed to a polymer, but it would never fail you.
I always look at American made first, and only own one foreign made handgun, this one. Open carry only, though.

My wife is probably going to get the M&P Compact .40 S&W — she went and played with one today and really likes it.

A good choice for her to keep in the glove box of her car and also in her purse.

It would be an excellent choice, as the M&P has three different grip inserts for the base of the palm, and allows adjustment for small, medium, and large handsize.
With a flick of a tool, the gun could go from being a good fit for her, to a good fit for you. The M&P is also showing up more and more, in IDPA competition.
