So Barack wants to have a national dialog on race, does he?

In the past, this has meant:

“People have been calling for national dialogues and conversations for decades. It usually works something like this: Liberals say we need a frank discussion about race (or class or gender) in this country, and then they proceed to bludgeon any conservative stupid enough to take them up on their offer.” — Jonah Goldberg

Well, I’ve been having that dialog here for quite some time. But now John Hawkins, writing at Townhall has taken it up a notch and writes about Six Uncomfortable Truths About Race in America:

  1. Most white Americans are not racists
  2. Blacks are, on average, more racist than whites
  3. It’s not racist to be scared of young black men on the street
  4. Affirmative Action does enormous damage to black Americans
  5. Black Americans today sometimes benefit because of their race
  6. Racism is no longer one of the three biggest problems that black Americans face

He has a bit to say on these 6 points. I agree with him wholeheartedly on each one of them. I guess that makes me a racist. If so, so be it.

Dr. Melissa Clouthier has a poll up at her site, asking:

Blacks are….

  • more racist than whites (75%)
  • less racist than whites (0%)
  • about the same as whites (25%)

The results so far (it’s early) are indicated in parenthesis above.

Which do you believe has the highest rate of violent crime?

  • white-on-black violent crime?
  • black-on-white violent crime?
  • black-on-black violent crime?

I’ll bet I have the order down exactly from lowest to highest just as they are…
_____

Perhaps not so coincidently, maybe the reason Barry Obama is so anti-second amendment is that the people I’m most likely to need a gun to protect myself and my family from are young black men?

Gee, what a completely foolproof way to once and for all, objectively address race in America!!!

[Editor --- I just bulleted Hawkin's six points that he discusses further. Did you bother to read his commentary on each one? If so, how would you refute each (or any single one of them)? There is a lot of empirical evidence to back up almost everything he said.]

Evidence for these specious claims? What, you take the opinions of extremist wingnuts reading blogs as objective proof of these claims? I certainly hope the training manuals you claim to write are edited by someone else besdies you, lest a few recruits get blown up trying to decipher one of them.

the true “objective” conservative reply to obama already went out. he hasn’t bothered with it.

LOL!
When you venture away from established white guilt themes, Robbie, be prepared for outrage.

Geraldine Ferraro came right out last night (on Hannity) and blamed the racist tirade against her as orchestrated by the Obama campaign. I nearly fell out of my chair. Obama is turning out to be quite a uniter, isn’t he. What is going on here??

Excellent piece by Juan Williams.
Obama and King.

Mr. Obama’s major speech on race last month was forced from him only after a political crisis erupted: It became widely known that he’d sat for 20 years in the pews of a church where Rev. Jeremiah Wright lashed out at white people. The minister cursed America as worthy of damnation, made lewd suggestions about the nature of President Clinton’s relationship with black voters, and embraced the paranoid idea that the white government was spreading AIDS among black people.
Here is where the racial tension at the heart of Mr. Obama’s campaign flared into view. He either shared these beliefs or, lacking good judgment, decided it politically expedient for an ambitious young black politician trying to prove his solidarity with all things black, to be associated with these rants. His judgment and leadership on the critical issue of race is in question.

I added the emphasis in the last sentence.

Dianne, missed that bit with Ferraro.
As to your question about what is going on, this piece I linked to on another thread is as good an explanation as I have seen.

Well, No2, there is no reasoning with people like that. None at all. I’m beginning to think it is more and more likely that McCain will win.

Obama is turning out to be quite a uniter, isn’t he.

Obama is the most racially divisive candidate ever. He can shove his national dialog on race up his butt.

Dianne, you are correct, absolutely no reasoning with them at all.
While the donks seem bent on imploding, Mc is gaining almost daily in his favorable and unfavorable ratings.
However, knowing Mc’s proclivity for saying really stupid things, telling inappropriate jokes, and losing his temper, it’s not too late for him to blow it.

Robbie - how many black people work in your office?

Careful, Pat.
You think you are setting an ambush, but you are walking into one.

“There is a lot of empirical evidence to back up almost everything he said”

I read the article. It’s all conjecture and anecdote, told from a single person’s perspective. This is evidence? And you claim to have a Bachelor of SCIENCE degree?

When people like you can’t back up their claims with actual evidence, they resort to ad hominem, appeals to authority - the whole laundry list of logical fallacies. That’s ok, though, your (and TownHall.com) readers seem generally puzzled by the concept of logic so they’ll drink the white-pride authoritarian Kool-Aid quicker than you can buy the sugar to mix it with.

Hee-hee…at least Robbie gives proper attribution to those he gets his info from.

Ever notice when liberals can’t effectively address issues, they lash out with personal attacks which have nothing to do with the subject at hand?

Why Dianne, what a white-pride, authoritarian thing to say about the Kool-Aid Kidz.

Bravo!

Spoken like a true liberal! Lots of words, but no substance.

If you want to be scientific about things, provide me with links and factual evidence to prove the ideas provided by the blogger are not correct. Show me your factual evidence. I will read it!

Dang, looks like B-HO enlightenment syndrome.
TUCC this one in your pocket.

I stopped going to mosques in my home town after 9/11 — as many other Muslims did in their quiet manner without seeking public attention — and severed relations with “official” Islam and its spokesmen who are the most egregious practitioners of bigotry with their hate-filled language that fuels violence.

The cost for me was liberating as I distanced myself from folks who preach a war-mongering ideology masquerading as a religion.

Obama’s pastor is a mere sophomore when it comes to the Friday tirades of Islamist imams denouncing and damning America, Israel, Christians, Jews, Hindus, and Muslims who reject their lies and venom.

The Wright controversy has revealed Obama as just another self-serving politician, though gifted with a silver-tongue, and only the incredulous will view him as statesman bearing a transformative vision of a new age.

Oh My!
The hate-monger Wright wrote a scathing letter to the NYSlimes reporter that wrote a (puff)piece on him back in Mar 07.
Sweetness & Light has it.

Forgive me for having a momentary lapse. I forgot that The New York Times was leading the bandwagon in trumpeting why it is we should have gone into an illegal war. The New York Times became George Bush and the Republican Party’s national “blog.” The New York Times played a role in the outing of Valerie Plame. I do not know why I thought The New York Times had actually repented and was going to exhibit a different kind of behavior.

BWAAAAAAAH-HA-HA-HAH!!!

Got something you want to say?
