Have you seen the 1995 movie Powder?
It’s about an 18-year old albino boy named Jeremy ‘Powder’ Reed (played by Sean Patrick Flanery) who has the highest I.Q. ever recorded. Powder has harnessed the power of his brain for remarkable abilities (including telekinesis and telepathy).
He is being held and studied at a facility by two doctors (Mary Steenburgen adn Jeff Goldblum).
As the movie progresses, Powder is becoming less-and-less patient with the doctors, and wanting more-and-more to go home.
At one point, after shattering a glass door with his mind, he stares at Steenburgen and asks calmly and rhetorically, “How much longer did you think I’d let you keep me here?” At which point he gets up and walks out.

I bring it up and do all of that explaining because it reminds me of the conflict between peaceful pro-military supporters and BDS-suffering, anti-military, leftwing-whackos.
We’re Powder. They’re the hapless doctors.
Every time I hear of another case of violence and intimidation emanating from the ranks of the “peace activists”, I think of that quote.
Every time I hear about unhinged moonbats attacking military recruiters and vandalizing their offices and vehicles; every time I hear of physically attacking conservative speakers; every time I hear about physical attacks against those with whom these liberal goons disagree; I think of this quote.
Except I rephrase it to, “How much longer do you think we’re going to allow you to do this (before we fight back)?”
We’re rapidly approaching a breaking point of tolerating the abuse and violence and unhinged hatred coming from the “peace” activists on the Left.
These two incidents from just this week have pushed me over the edge:
Anti-war nut attacks wheelchair-bound girl
A man heckling First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna outside the 92nd Street Y was arrested after he punched a wheelchair-bound girl whose parents has told him to shut up, authorities said yesterday. German Talis, 22, was shouting obscenities at the Bushes, who were leaving the building Tuesday, when he crossed paths with Wendy and John Lovetro and their daughter Maureen, 18, who has cerebral palsy.
Iraq War Veteran and Family Assaulted
Seeing the escalating tension across the street, the veteran and his wife crossed over, leaving their three youngest children on the other side for safety while they went to retrieve their eldest son. Two of the female ‘peace’ protesters then attacked the veteran’s wife. When the veteran pulled one of those attackers off his wife he was jumped by four or five of the ‘peace’ people and knocked to the ground where they held him while beating him and smashing his eyeglasses.
The son pulled the remaining attacker off his mother, but the attacker managed to get in one last kick to his mother’s head with her boot. She then punched the son in his face while his mother called the police.
Are you fucking kidding me?
A grown man, so overtaken by his BDS, punched a wheelchair-bound girl with cerebral palsy? And another group attacked a family, to include beating up the wife and a child?
Again…How much longer do you think we’re going to allow you to do this (before we fight back)?
Let me tell you the answer to that question right now — from this man — no more.
If I had witnessed either of these attacks I would have retaliated against these thugs instantly, brutally, and mercilessly. I would have beat them to as close to death as I could before anyone was able to pull me off of them.
I can’t believe nobody who was there didn’t do that.
I think I’m about to make it a point to start attending some of these protests and counter protests. Be forewarned, assholes.
What these Leftwing whack jobs seem to have forgotten is 1) we are much, much more likely to be (legally) armed than they are, and 2) we are much, much more likely to have received combat training (to include hand-to-hand and close-quarters) in the military than they have.
We just haven’t used it back against them.
Yet.
After reading those two stories, my blood is boiling. It’s all I can do not to ride down to the 78704 and start randomly punching hippies in the pie hole.

Powder was directed by a convicted pedophile. So, the true answer to your question is that the Hollywood left will allow their own to keep on doing just about anything.
