And the idiots video taped their crime

The Polk County (Florida) sheriff released an exceptionally disturbing video of a group of high school girls (and two boys) who lured a tiny 16-year old girl, Victoria Lindsay, into a home for the sole intent of beating her.

And whey were these 6 kids beating up this one poor kid? Because they wanted to put it on YouTube to embarrass her.

The video is very difficult to watch, and makes you wish there was a way to make it stop, to be able to intercede on behalf of little Victoria.

The six thugs who were arrested are: Mercades Nichols (17), Brittini Hardcastle (17), April Cooper (14), Cara Murphy (16), Britney Mayes (17), Kayla Hassell (15), Zachary Ashley (17), and Stephen Schumaker (18) — all of them students at Mulberry High School.

The charges against them include false imprisonment and battery. Three of them are also charged with kidnapping.

I hope each and every one of them is punished as severely as the law allows. I hope that all of those that are 17 and older are tried and convicted as adults. I hope they spend time in prison — not jail, but prison for their criminal actions.

And I hope they have the ever loving shit kicked out of them by a prison thug — because karma is a bitch. And every so often in life, you do get exactly what you deserve.

Apparently one of the parents of one of the thugs is blaming the victim — “But the mother of one of the girls said that Lindsay had provoked the other teens by threatening and insulting them on MySpace, a social networking Web site.”

That mother needs to have a boot up her ass, too.

______

The sad thing is that this isn’t even all that unusual — a quick search through YouTube reveals hundred of “fight videos”. Most of them teenagers. Many of them on school grounds. Many of them are two-or-more against one. A disturbing number of them are teenage girls.

  1. Prison is a good place for punk-asses.

  2. honestly, look at those 8 losers. They’ll all end up meth addicts and in jail eventually, might as well get it out of the way now.

  3. honestly, look at those 8 losers. They’ll all end up meth addicts and in jail eventually, might as well get it out of the way now.

Wow Tom, I’ll bet you are just a great parent! Please pass along your secret for raising perfect children and also please tell us how you can just look at a picture and determine future drug use!

I do not condone or excuse what these kids did in any way shape or form! But the bottom line here is they are all still kids. And kids do stupid stuff that sometime leave their parents shaking their head and going WTF!

Did I do stupid stuff growing up that gave my parents grief? You bet I did! But I survived it and so did my parents. Now the shoe is on the other foot and I am the one who is having to guide two kids through adolescence. When I read this story my first thought was “there but by the grace of God go I”.

You are right about one thing. These kids are addicted, but not to meth. To this generation’s kids, Facebook and MySpace are just as addicting!

    • I can NOT believe you BBB. kids will be kids.. BULLSHIT !
Those girls ganged up on this one girl. What is FAIR about that. NOTHING !
there is nothing that poor girl done to DESERVE that happened to her from these Monsters. what they did was WRONG.. now if that poor girl DID talk crap about any of them. They should of handled in another way.. but this one was WRONG!.. and you asking Tom is he is a parent.. need to ask yourself.. ARE YOU a parent. cause personally your just at the same level as those teens that jumped that poor girl. you should be ASHAMED of yourself……….

I hope that girl recovers and can get passed this in time. but I for one, would NOT ask for a lesser sentence for these girls.. they DESERVE each and everyday of punishment they get. if it would been a YEAR.. so be it……. next time they will THINK before they ACT!.. I am disgusted in this..period !~

      • Learn to read. BBB said nothing even remotely close to what you are accusing him/her of saying.

  4. Wow those girls are ugly. They look like they’re the ones that got beaten.

Nice moustache, guy on top left. The guy on the bottom looks like the toxic avenger and the 2nd girl on the bottom row looks like an alien cloning experiment gone horribly wrong.

  5. I think these kids should be thrown in prison and get beat just like they beat that girl. It doesn’t amtter what somone says on myspace or how much shit someone talks, luring them into a house for the sole purpose of beating them and video taping it to post to you tube and myspace is just ridiculous. And it crosses a line. Then taking her to another location practically dumping her, that frightens me. I have a 12 year old neice and I pray she never gets caught up in drama like this. Harsh words are nothing compared to being punched in the head and face numerous times to the point of ear and eye damage plus a concussion. How are these kids being raised? No parental control whatsoever.

  6. I am aboslutely shocked and disgusted by this video. I felt sick to my stomach after watching it. These kids were old enough to know right from wrong. This was an ambush on this little girl. I’m sure she had done her fair share of name calling on “Myspace” and “Facebook” (both of which are pointless websites which have done nothing but bring mostly negativity and harm to the new generation), but no one deserves to be set up and attacked in such a humiliating and heinous fashion. These children need to go through our legal system and be punished to the fullest degree. I think its fine to go through life and make mistakes as an adolescent, but this act is inexcusable. Any parent that watches this video will most likely agree. Even the biggest white trash should know better than this dirty act. Disgusting.

  7. that poor girl..that is the sadest thing and as a 18 year old myself i hope all the assholes that did this to her get what they deserve or get their asses kicked just as bad if not worse than victoria did. It makes you want to jump through the screen and stop it.

  8. Make an example of them. Convict them of felonies, give them long sentences AND make them go to high schools and middle schools to give speeches on how they screwed up and how long a time 20 + years in prison really is.

  9. Am I the only parent who chose to post on this thread?

As I said before, I do not in any way condone or excuse what these kids did. They should and will be punished for what they did.

But to suggest these kids get 20 years in prison for this is stupid! By all means lets put these kids in with the rapist, drug dealers and murders in our prisons. Then in 5-10 let’s see what kind of model citizens they come out as! These kid’s lives (and their family’s lives) are all ready ruined, but by God let’s put them in prison and throw away the key for 20 years!

It was asked where were the parents, were there no parental control? Did it ever occur to anyone, that this might have happened when the parents were working? I have seen no mention that any parents were at home when this occurred. These kids may all be from “good” homes with good parents who try to raise their kids right. But as I said before, despite everything you do as a parent, kids do stupid stuff that leave you shaking your head and crying “why”.

First and foremost, my heart goes out to these kid’s parents!

  10. They are not going away for 20 years. But, BBB, neither you nor anyone else has any idea if they have prior criminal records. I would also point out that kidnapping is a fairly serious charge.

  11. BBB just stop [and] throw your girl into that situation and see if you’re as compassionate then…

  12. Man, how horribly corrupt, criminal and violent white culture is!

  13. when I was 16 I knew the difference between right and wrong. I was a rebel and I did stupid shit, but there was a line when it came to endangering someone else, to actually purposely hurting some one. And at age 15, 16, 17, 18 – YOU DO KNOW BETTER.

And at this day and age those girls ARE aware of the consequences of those kinds of actions.

Jail time for sure+ community service+ a nice beating in jail would be the cherry on top.

  14. At this day and age, those girls ARE old enough to understand, and are aware of the consequences of those kinds of actions.

  15. They are adults–try ‘em like adults. The parents of these thugs need to stop talking to the press and they need to find lawyers. This group nearly killed this girl.

  16. Yeah what if they had killed her. She was knocked unconscience for 30 minutes and they still kept beating her. Are we to feel sorry for minors that kill? Are they still children at that point? Let the punishment fit the crime.

  17. Teenage girls in the morally bankrupt USA are cheap whore self centered tramp sluts and that is a fact.

  18. Am I the only parent who chose to post on this thread?

    SHUT UP YOU IDIOT

  19. First and foremost, my heart goes out to these kid’s parents!

Yea, wouldn’t want to be sending your heart out to the poor girl who got beat up “first and foremost.” Make sure the parents who obviously did a bang up job raising their kids get your sympathy first.

Aside from pointing that out, I have nothing to contribute really. Kids are stupid, and I honestly don’t care what happens to these kids. There are over 300 million people in the united states, some of them have to fill the quota of our country’s social filth.

  20. This was one of the most heart wrenching videos that I had to endure, it was disturbing on a number of levels but the one thing on reading about it that made it strike home, was the fact that the police stated that the girls felt no remorse what so ever, in fact they were joking about not being about to go to the beach during spring break!

Its sad that the level of moral decay has eroded our psyche to such an extent that, firstly, teenagers feel this is acceptable behavior, and secondly we as adults look for wording some justification as to why it happened and/or adequate punishment.

The true loss is not one of teenagers or parents; it’s the loss of part of our humanity.

I keep wondering if someone like Mother Teresa was forced to watch something like this, the pain and angst we would see on her face would be a clear indication as to how far gone we are.

My feeling is that if the justice system can’t truly show these teens what they have done is fundamentally wrong, and then they are lost to both their community and parents.

It’s like the story of an adulterer, who, after being caught cheating was more upset about the fact he/she was caught then about the fact that they actually did something wrong!!!

  21. When kids are together, there is often a lot of bravado. Split up and locked up, not so much.

  22. I watched the video and listened to the radio broadcasts in my city and it is clear to me that these kids learned that hitting is an acceptable way to resolve conflict by watching the rest of us. We want blood for blood in today’s society. There have even been negative comments about the father of the victim because he doesn’t appear “angry enough”. Perhaps he is the only person among us that truly understands that it has to stop and it has to Start with one person not responding with more violence. How are we to teach our young people that violence is not the answer when our country is at war and the people raising our children are blood thirsty.

[Editor --- I think you are mostly right, ACE, and this is a very astute comment. The only thing I would disagree on though is that sometimes violence is the answer, adn sometimes war is the answer. Its ugly, but often very necessary. But lawful violence should be used to protect society, not to inflict damage upon it.]

  23. I watched this horrific video last night and it made me physically ill. I actually had a hard time falling to sleep afterwards. I have a 16 year old daughter not much different from Victoria Lindsay. I couldn’t even imagine being her parent. I cannot believe that some “trash talking” provoked this outrageous behavior! Words are just that, words. They don’t give you bruises, damaged ear drums, eyes, or concussions. Mrs. Lindsay is right, this poor girl will never be the same. She will have a very difficult time trusting a “friend”, since these idiots were supposedly hers. I read and listen to the ridiculous excuses made by the parent of the, I believe, Nichols girl who said that Victoria Lindsay provoked this and should have, basically, backed up her mouth. So that makes what these girls did right??? These girls show no remorse.

I hope to God that the Florida justice system steps up on this one and punishes these idiots to the fullest extent of the law. These girls show no remorse. They wanted to be famous. Let’s make them famous. They should be tried as adults, put in prison and be made an example of. I truly believe that what goes around comes around. I hope is comes around real soon for these degenerates.

  24. [Editor --- I have edited out all phone numbers and addresses from this comment. It is not alright to post the home addresses and phone numbers of these kids. I do not advocate nor wish any type of vigilante revenge on these kids. Let the legal system take care of them.]

  25. BBB: I am a mother too. How would you feel if your child was the Victoria in this video? I am sure you wouldn’t feel so sorry for the attakers parents then.

You are right. Kids make mistakes and the parents pay for them. But far too many parents are allowing their children to set the rules. This is a direct result of “NOT” parenting.

God bless and keep YOUR kids…from either side of an attack like this.

  26. WOW, What a bunch of REDNECKS!!!!

As a sociology student at MTSU, I am very upset by this!
I feel it is the state’s duty to give these 8 rednecks the full punishment.

    Spread the word that violence=JAIL

    Damn they look so REDNECK!!!!!!!!

  27. Thank you for once again demonstrating that the study of sociology attracts idiots.

  28. As a parent I always find the most liberal perspectives are provided by those least touched by the realities of life. Butt kickings have been around for many years – the difference here is that the teens lured the victim – prevented escape and caused enough damage that slightly more would have had even more tragic consequences and were proud enough of their escapade to seek others enjoyment.

The laws are sufficient – lets just use them and not whine about their age or the fact that they are not necessarily an adult…hopefully the victim will recover completely and enjoy a very prosperous life after the settlement she receives.

  29. I am the the mother of a now 18 year old girl and I agree these losers should be put away for as long as possible. It wouldn’t bother me in the least to see them NOT released until retirement age. They are dangerous thugs who should never be let loose on society again. I don’t care WHAT the victem may or may not have said via the web, this behavior is UNEXCUSABLE

  30. Back in the day my Dad KNEW where I was, what I was up to, WHO I was with or I simply didn’t get to go.. period…
When I was a kid, just the THOUGHT of SHAMING my family or Father by my actions kept my butt completely in line.. My Dad had SIX kids.. discipline was enforced.. We didn’t dare think about doing something stupid or wrong.

These days You see parents smoking pot and drinking with their kids.. WTF?!?!

This is in all Social demographics.. I witness teens coming to my apartment complex in their Daddy and Mommy’s Jaguars and convertibles to hook up with other teens that score drugs for everyone.. they vandalize cars, laugh and dump garbage everywhere.. have NO respect for the Law.. when these kids were confronted by the Police they ran their mouths with F this and F that.. I’m tellin You this kind of crap didnt NOT play in my generation.. I don’t believe in physcial violence.. but kids had and received discipline and KNEW right from wrong…

These monsters should certainly WITHOUT a DOUBT be put on trial as ADULTS and their Parents should also.. Sorry …IF You cannot control Your kids.. and they THINK it’s okay to do this kind of evil, dark crap. they are JUST as responsible.. ANY child that can walk around thinking they are “entitled” to beat a person simply because someone wrote or said something about them is PSYCHO..and COWARDLY…

“D” Up! Let it roll off your back.. be the better person and don’t feed the beast of Hate..

I teach my six year old son EVERYDAY:
YOUR CHOICES MAKE YOU OR BREAK YOU IN LIFE…

Meaning he is RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE for his actions.. anyone 5yrs and older KNOWS right from wrong.. period… there’s no excuse and I can tell You the parent’s should be sued and suffer for making stupid a– comments that their kids are innocent or this girl had it comin??

This has nothing to do with a single parent home — this has EVERYTHING to do with Parents instilling basic Human values in their kids and making sure they know they have consequences for their actions.. People that have no idea where their kids are when they are not with them are responsible for the action of their children…A minor child IS your Responsibility and a reflection on YOU as a parent.. regardless–get involved –get in tune with what Your kids are doing, going and hanging out with–that’s YOUR job as a Parent—

When I was a kid, an older neighbor boy picked up a brick and hit me in the face with it..

I ran crying to my father and within SECONDS my father walked me around the block and almost banged the door down at the neighbor’s house..
He got MAJORLY in the kid’s Parents face, showed him what his kid had done to me.. (I was six and the other kid was almost a teen) He made it VERY clear that if this kid even so much as LOOKED at me again he and his father would suffer.. Our society has gotten lazy and frankly apathetic about violence UNLESS of course it happens to them or their child.. as a society we should be expressing OUTRAGE -this could be our child—our neighborhood–our school –our deal–

SHAME was a good deterrent in my childhood—

The embarassment of U.S. culture these days is that this generation is convinced they are entitled to be a-holes and are not responsible or accountable for anything they do…

Back in the day, this crap wouldn’t fly..

These kids would be disciplined and they would NEVER even think of shaming their parents, themselves or their community..

A “bad kid” was ridiculed, isolated and -You didn’t want to “be” one-now it’s Anarchy is cool–Please, I’m sickened.. these girls should ROT in jail with some REAL hardened criminals and feel the kind of terror, pain and humiliation they created..

  31. I hereby certify these six girls as “Official Skanks ™”. They are loser “Green Fly” rednecks that will live as skank whores for the rest of their lives.

  32. Eh. After reading more about the case, I think they should charge the minors as juveniles.

I’ve also read that people with similar names as the accused, who live in the area, are getting anonymous threatening phone calls. Well done, my little vigilantes! Keep in up and you may find yourself in the county jail, too.

  33. Please after hearing this don’t get into situations like this especially when you’re a teen and be a good role model for younger kids always.
All parents want the best of you and they don’t want you to fight; they want you to be adults and mature and to always think of the right status. If you get along with people well that’s good, don’t make enemies.

  34. MUSIC VIDEO- VICTORIA LINDSAY’S GANGSTA PARADISE-

[Editor --- I may be white. I may be German. And I'm a "skin head" only because I'm too bald to sport any other kind of haircut. But I'm not a white-trash, inbred racist fuck like you and your ilk. Take it else where.]

Thanks for the link to the anti-semitic neo-nazi website, jackass.

[Editor --- thanks for catching that. I hadn't clicked the link. I've de-linked it.]

  36. This is very disturbing to say the least and it makes me sick to think that as a parent of a tween I have to share and warn her of the dangers like this that lurk in her school. Bullying comes in all forms, and I’ve already seen my daughter’s so called friends bully her and others for their own sick form of entertainment. BUT the fact remains, that we live in a society where the youth are completely desensitized to violence. My daughter has witnessed 5 physical fights in her school in the past 4 months! Are we to be thankful that fists are flying instead of bullets? It’s time for parents to quit being so naive about their children and take responsibility. My husband is a fan of the approach that “Sickened’s” father used as a child… needless to say we don’t get phone messages calling my daughter obscenities any longer!

  37. [Editor — thanks for catching that. I hadn’t clicked the link. I’ve de-linked it.]

Thanks! You may wish to de-link his name, too. It goes to the same website.

[Editor --- Thanks again. Instead of de-linking it, I merely re-directed it.]

  38. This is not a case of “kids doing stupid things” and whoever thinks that is a MORON. This is a case of evil thugs revealing their true natures early in life.

Let’s see how tough these girls and boys are when they get to the Big House and have broomsticks rammed up their asses. They’ll be wailing for mamma then!

This little girl will never be the same — she will be traumatized for life. I hope the judge will make an example of these kids and that every other judge in the land will follow suit. This crap has got to stop. Parents, DISCIPLINE YOUR CHILDREN.

  39. [Editor — Thanks again. Instead of de-linking it, I merely re-directed it.]

    Hahahaah!!

  40. This is not a case of “kids doing stupid things” and whoever thinks that is a MORON.

    Eh. I’ve been called worse.

Anyway, yes kids do stupid things. Yes, kids and adults do things as a group that they would never do or think of doing alone. Does anyone have the right to assault anyone? No. However, the victim in this case is part of this clique. According to her father, she’s on probation for “fighting with her mom” and has “anger management issues.” I assume this is a nice way of saying she hit her mother because they don’t give you probation for slamming doors. The parents also said she was “not staying at home” (we use to call this running away) but was camped at one of the girl’s arrested for a week when this happened.

Now, after reading about how kids viciously harass their fellow students using myspace, I am curious as to what the victim posted on the internet. Obviously, it angered them and they did not handle it appropriately and will have to face the consequences. Regardless, the victim should recover just fine as soon as the law suits are settled.

This is a case of evil thugs revealing their true natures early in life.

Your comment about these minors having “broomsticks rammed up their asses” reveals something similar about you.

  41. These children are exhibiting a sociopath behavior. This is not something that can be fixed. As far as the victim, she will have a difficult time ever trusting a so called friend. I don’t think she will “be just fine” no matter what the monetary gain.

  42. How many of these kids DO come from trailer parks?

  43. let’s step back and look at the big picture. perhaps at some point, parents including the lindsays, will start to question what unlimited internet access can do to children. let’s not point fingers at youtube, myspace, and facebook cause those are the sites you learned about this year. if you don’t want your children using those sites then block their access. if you’re too stupid or lazy to figure out how, then don’t give the kid web access at all. insist that all access given at school and with friends be supervised and then follow through on your demands. if you don’t like your kids friends, then show them how to make new ones.

assaults, kidnapping, and conspiracies are all crimes. these pretendathugs will be held accountable in the justice system. in my opinion, crimes like this don’t tend to be punished harshly enough, but that’s a seperate issue. they’ve been arrested and they will be dealt with.

back to the web though… if one really considers what is available on line, it’s impossible not to admit that it’s a huge technological advancement, with all sorts of advancing potentials. since it’s inception, newspapers, mail, and encyclopedias have all become nearly obsolete. it’s the perfect resource for everyone. no matter what one wants to learn about, see, acquire, discuss, or share… if it can be done, the web almost always helps. considering all this, parents don’t just get the convenience with no ill-intended side effects. while the web gives you’re son/daughter everything they need to write an essay, it can also link them to the taliban at age 9. it can help them communicate with their mother overseas or introduce them to jenna jamison at age 7. it can give them the skills to truly compete in a 21st century job market or it can help them expose themselves as conspirators, kidnappers, and violent assailant criminals by age 14-18.

  44. I agree, they sound like sociopaths. They took pleasure in inflicting pain and they showed no resmose for their actions. I wonder if they had pets or siblings. How did they treat them? They have crossed a fine line from which there is no return. They just went to court and were charged as adults…all of them. I bet they are crying real tears now.

As far as the computer goes, I purchased an easy link from Fisher Price for my 4 year old. It is WONDERFUL!!! Check it out.

  45. I have’nt read all the blogs on here but as anyone mentioned the fact that it took 8 of these losers to beat down one little girl.I believe it’s all good though I’m sure there are some inmates thats cant waite to get these losers

  46. Not to disagree with most of you, but this is by far worse than just an attempt to get this video on the web. As a mother, the one thing you do raising your child, is teach them to love and protect. At those ages, you’d think they’ve had enough events in their life where they were in the wrong, and their parents should’ve then, instilled the facts of how to appropriately get through a conflict. There is absolutely NO excuse for this kind of behavior. And If I were the mother of any of these malicious LATE teens, I would refuse ANY sort of television shows, or interviews….I mean, what kind of mother tries to defend her daughter after seeing that tape? No way! The first thing she should have said is…what my daughter did is completely unexcusable! If the coursts don’t give her life….I WILL! AND Dr. Phil!!!! It makes me sick that you employ staff members that think it’s in your best interest to bail one of these creatures out of jail to get them on your couch!!!!! Want to really help people? Get off TV!

  47. What amazes me most is the premeditation that had to go into an event like this. I’m not far out of high school or my teen years. Unfortunately I can’t say I never beat anyone up in high school but I CAN say that I never used 7 of my closest friends to beat on someone for 30 minutes, hold them against their will and so on. These kids didn’t “just make a mistake” they took a lot of time to make sure they had enough video cameras to get every moment of this very thought out plan on tape. Having been in a fight I can also say how much it takes out of you phsically so they knew they wanted to beat this girl within an inch of her life which is why they trapped her they way they did; so they would have plenty of time to regain their energy and strength and keep beating on her. The premeditation and intention of their acts should speak volumes to any of you that might have sympathy for these horrible teens or their parents. And quite frankly at 17 years old you do know enough to know that these actions are NOT acceptable EVER. Unless they are mentally handicapped and can’t be expected to know right from wrong I say try them like adults!

  48. I’m a parent, I’m liberal on “moral crimes” (also called “victimless crimes), but I’m pretty hard-core on violent crimes. I’d say “BBB” is in the distinct minority in this forum and generally every where else this subject is discussed.

My take is that the phrase, “make an example of them”, has just been sitting around, waiting for these thugs to show up, so we could all see how the phrase really makes sense.

Are they going to get 20 years for kidnapping?? No, of course not.

Should they be given probation because they’re teenagers?? No, absolutely not.

They do need some jail time. Why?? As an example that this behaviour is completely unacceptable. Does that make them sacrifices to a greater good??? Maybe, but they put themselves in that position..

Oh, and maybe they should be jailed for being stupid enough to commit felonies and record the event

just a few thoughts from a concerned parent,
    K e v

[Editor --- Great comment, Kev. I agree with you completely about making an "example out of 'em". I really don't think they should be sent away for life --- or even 20 years. But several years behind bars would be appropriate.]

  49. It is so terrible! They are so young! But they are not humans. They are wilds to do such cruel things.

  50. When I saw this I felt horrified and angry that this poor girl had been so brutally and deviously attacked. One commenter is right- you want to intercede and protect her! These girls and boys should suffer the consequences. Sadly it is true that their lives are forever changed and their potential is diminished just as the victim’s physical and mental health is surely damaged by this event. How does she get over this?

What a waste! I saw the victim’s parents saying that you can’t be with your kids all the time. I do ache for all the parents- surely not all 16 parents are worthless lowlifes who haven’t done a decent job…It is very Lord of the Flies-esq. I am in Colorado and the parents of Columbine infamy Klebold and Harris come to mind or the parents of the kid who conducted the Virginia school shooting one year ago. Those parents had other children who were model kids who were raised along side the child that was mentally ill enough to commit such mass murder atrocities.

Make them an example yes, make them repent and educate others yes, help the victim recover and help the criminals take a different road to become productive citizens vs destructive low lifes.

  51. i am a mother and i think these kids should be dealt with as adults what if they would have killed this poor girl would you be still saying this crap. They are just kids for christ sake they need to be held accounted for by their actions.

  52. I just read over all the blogs. To everyone wanting the girls to be “severely punished”, I suggest calling and/or e-mailing their high school as I have to keep the pressure on that they be suspended and at least removed from the cheerleading team since that they are clearly unworthy of such role-modeling.

Now if the punishment were up to me, I would have the girls heads shaved and the word REPENTANCE unabashedly tattooed on each and every one of them, but the nature of the law is not that creative is it?..Our system right now basically consists of catching the uncivilized and throwing them in very expensive cages and I while I admit I do not know the specific statistics, it doesn’t look good as far as how effective staying in these cages is at actually CIVILIZING anybody. That being said, when you post your opinions about throwing these girls in jail, you have to think about whether or not it is actually going to REWIRE their brains to understand right from wrong. It is obvious that their parents failed to nurture them on some level emotionally so the question bec omes how to get inside their heads and compensate for this….I want them fixed, not temporarily removed only to eventually come back as older, bitter displaced members of society.

Now, there is a lot of name calling from you bloggers which cracks me up because when has name calling ever motivated a person to take your opinion seriously? I know, it’s hard not call it like you see it. Trust me, when I watch the video or look at the pictures of the girls all kinds of expletives come to mind..But think about it, if we really are dealing with rednecks here, will insulting “rednecks” really inspire them to get proper educations so they can raise the quality of their lives and thus not be a danger or responsibilty to society?…It’s not likely, as a matter of fact, it tends to make them defensive, angry and frustrated, and angry, frustrated, defensive (uneducated) people are pretty much as scary and as it gets- just ask Victoria Lindsay…and why? Because they feel they have to rely on violence to assert themselves in a society that has no respect for them. Removal from the cheerleading team, suspension, therapy sessions with Victoria Lindsay, parents fined for the cost of Lindsay’s recovery and personal therapy, etc, etc….It all comes down to conscientious people, to getting people to use their evolved brains and THINK about their actions.. This is afterall what seperates us from the animals.

  53. hey BBB!
Parent here… and am basically sickened at your defense and sympathy for these disturbed individuals. They are not toddlers, nor are they adolescents….they are young adults who turn in into the legal aged adults that bring guns to our schools and kill our innocent children….they are the people who commit the crimes that we in turn question “where do they come from?” and “how did we not see the signs?” These individuals have no remorse and see nothing wrong with what they have done. Have you not watched April Cooper’s court appearnce trying to hold in her smile…or perhaps you have not seen Brittini Hardcastle laugh in the backseat of her (most obvious white trash) mother’s SUV just minutes after she posted bond?? Maybe if the girl had not survived or suffered deforming inguries you as a so called “mother” would see this differently. I hope your children end up OK, because you too will be one of these callace parents who justify these animalistic INHUMANE behaviors of our sad future generation!

  54. As a parent, I have put myself in both places.

The shame and horror not to mention the guilt and asking what did I do as a parent to raise a child that would do something like this. As well as the outrage and utter repulsion at the cowardice of this team of kids preying on a solitary girl.

Just punishment as well as sending a message to future lawbreakers needs to be sent. However, deep thought about these kids who did thet beating to try and salvage their lives so they have some hope for redemption.

  55. those teens are just dumb people trying to be noticed and look all high and mighty hope they get their asses beat real bad so they know what it feels like they wont be so tough then
    LOSERS!

  56. Do Britney Mayes and April Cooper live in trailer parks? seriously.

  57. It sickens me to watch the actions of the young people in this clip. They should not be allowed to move on with their lives until they truly understand what they have done and the consequences upon both their victim and their own souls. My heart yearns for them to be punished severely, but as noted by so many others previously we are more than animal emotions, and beating them up would solve little, and dirty our souls in the process. We have a duty to act rationally, to help these peoples redemption, I have no idea of their circumstances, or what made them do the things they did, but everyone has a story, and is on a journey, they need to understand and make amends for their crime. We should help them, because if not their lives are truly lost, they will become the scum of society that we all know, fear and pity; just another set of problems that are adding up to many of the problems with our community. Punish them, they deserve it, but be constructive afterwards and help them evolve out of the brutal thugs they currently are. As to the victim, she has nothing but my admiration for surviving, and my hopes that someday she will find a way to take back peace and security that was taken for her, she deserves any and all the help we can give.

  58. Honestly, you guys dont even know the half of went on.
Try listening to their sides of the story.
I bet your sons and daughters would’ve done the some thing if they were put in that position. I knew each and every one of them personaly. And most of them are athletes. And Im guaranteeing you that none of them will end up on Meth. So there’s that.

  60. YALL STUPID FUKN LITTLE BITCHES!!!

  61. I knew Tori from church. She may have been tiny but she thought she was tough, she did talk a lot of crap about a lot of people. No they didnt have the right to lure her into the house down the road BUT she bullied a lot of kids because she was popular. Maybe people should pay more attention to those being bullied before they take it into their own hands. I was bullied all through out school, many times I wish I had friends that would stick up for me…I am as “tiny” as Tori.

  62. We should listen to Amber and Rachel and keep their comments in mind. I always found something suspicious about her. On the web site Justice for Victoria and the 6 girls, on the blogs a month before the beaten at a bonfire party 30 girls try to attack her because one of the girls boyfriends said he wanted to go out with her. But she hide out in her friend’s car and called the police and the girls was later arrested for underage drinking. The 6 girls who beat her was mad about people at the party getting arrested and that one thing that cause the fight. But why was 30 some people all attacking her if she didn’t do anything wrong???? And the girl on that site wrote she wish people would get to know the real Victoria. Why was she saying that. It sound like to me the media only gave us 50% of the story.
She was also arrested for fraud for stealing the credit card from her parents to see her than boyfriend in Korea, and assult and battery on her stapmother and sister. On the website which was 3 years after her indincent she was arrested for marijauna. Sounds like your well like honor student to me.
I have the feeling the media brain washed us in to thinking she was a good girl. That tells me alot about the media in Florida.
