All posts written today were done so without any reliance on Google (I’ve been using Yahoo all day instead, and need to remember to use them more often in the future). I refuse to link to them or otherwise use them on Memorial Day.
I clicked on Google this morning to see if they would finally show their appreciation (rather than disdain) for our Military with a special Memorial Day logo.
But once again…nothing.
Google has been creating special Holiday logos since 1999. In that time, they have paid tribute to such important dates as:
The Burning Man festival

Bastille Day

National Teacher Day

And World Water Day:

But in the 9 years that Google has been creating special logos — not once have they thought to pay tribute to our Nation’s fallen heroes.
This is nothing short of a conscious decision by the Liberal owners of the world’s biggest and busiest Web site.

They did do Veteran’s Day ‘07.
I had seen them honor one of the veterans’ holidays….but couldn’t remember which…..must have been that one.
They’re a bunch of commie pigs if they haven’t honored more than that one.
What do we know about the owners of Yahoo? I don’t use it much because I like Google firefox so much better.
Still, if I knew that the folks behind Yahoo were conservative or at least Republican, I would not only switch, but try to start a movement for other conservatives to switch.
Screw Google.
That is just plain sick. What happened to this country? How did we end up with so many american hating scum bags? Even if you don’t like the military, you should like the freedom they provide. Our grandparents would be ashamed of what a lot of this country has turned into. Makes me sad they wanted so much for us, and to see the complete decay and our inability to fight back, it is just plain sad. When good people do nothing, evil wins.
I have to agree with all of you on this one. Google is a American corporation (or was, once) and should be changing that logo for veterans and memorial, and D-day!
