The Daily Dog — The Mighty Texas Dog Walk

On Saturday, my wife took Angus to participate in the 10th Annual Mighty Texas Dog Walk.

Shannon thought it would be “fun” to humiliate poor Angus (again) by making him wear angle “angel” wings for the walk:

Angus and his wings

The Mighty Texas Dog Walk is a three mile stroll through downtown Austin — and an attempt to bring the Guinness World’s Record for “largest dog walk” back to Texas (current record is 10,272) dogs.

Unfortunately, only about 5K dogs were walked (albeit by about 10,000 people) on Saturday morning, thus falling well short of the record.

The event benefited the Texas Hearing and Service Dogs, which is a non-profit organization that trains assistance dogs for Texans living with deafness or mobility related disabilities.

Don’t the other dogs get jealous? As far as his angel costume, it looks more like you are trying to pass him off as a bird. Maybe, a griffin?
