I really don’t want to harm anyone’s dog, just have their loose and danglies snipped or their plumbing altered so they will just go away in time.

I show dogs and breed dogs, not pits. I would expect retaliation if any my dogs were to attack other dogs or people. I sleep well, as this has never happened, but I would expect the authorities or a neighbor of mine to put to death any dog that attacks humans/other dogs.

My 30-year-old cousin was walking her golden retriever when an older, female owner of a leashed pitbull walked by. The pitbull immediately tried to attack my cousin’s very passive, 3-year-old, spayed, golden retriever. My cousin pulled her dog away from the pit bull just in time for the pit bull to lock onto my cousin’s calf! Hours later, she many stitches and 4 deep puncture wounds. I blame the dog owner, for not having any authority over their “pet”, but how many times does this really need to happen? I am a registered firearm owner who is educated in the use of my deadly weapon and conduct it in a responsible manner. Can’t owner’s of all “pets” license them and handle them responsibly? I know accidents happen. But, if that happened in my neighborhood on my watch, I got a feeling some “accidents” might happen too, if you catch my drift. Rat poison is legal and cheaper than bullets and just as effective. Keeping the world safe and just….

You just proved the argument against the vast majority of pit bulls and their owners. Irresponsible and clueless.
For every lab that kills another dog, you’ll find 10 or more pit bulls that kill.
Will every pit bull attack someone during its lifetime? No.
But a disproportionate number of them do.

It’s strange that most dogs are not properly trained, but it is predominantly untrained pit bulls that do this.

Where are all the abused grey hounds in these stats? What about all the beagles used as bait dogs by dog fighters? Why are they not attacking as much?

you are a worthless person to say such a thing! Do not judge the breed by some story that was published. There are many dog attacks every year and surprising news to you must of them are not even pitt bull related. Do some actual research before running your mouth my five year APBT has never nor would he ever attack any being. He would defend my children but that is about it. You say pittbulls are a worthless breed but you would be breaking the hearts of four children who love our dog michealo if you encourage the banning of this breed.

C’Mon? Really? “Little dogs are scarier than big dogs” ????? Listen to what you are saying. That makes no sense at all. Does that mean my tea cup poodle is scarier than a pit bull, or lab? c’mon? really?

At least you can defend yourself against a “fricking ankle bitter” (actually spelled BITER, NOT bitter). I in fact have defended my tea cup poodle against an “ankle biter.” On the other hand, when a pit bull came after me, I was completely unable to defend myself.
