Ungrateful bitch.

At the 62-minute mark, Pelosi slandered and demeaned the hard-won successes of our armed forces in Iraq, saying “Whatever the military success and progress that may have been made, the surge didn’t accomplish its goal. And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians — they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities — the Iranians.”

The surge is working — victory over al Qaeda in Iraq is nearly complete and the fledgling Iraqi government is making rapid progress (shhhh…dont’ tell Obama. He still thinks losing is the only option).

And there are really only two reasons why the surge is working — 1) US might and determination, and 2) the will of the Iraqi people.

Iran has zero to do with the success of the surge. And for Speaker Pelosi to say that it does does nothing but take away the real and hard earned credit of our troops and the Iraqi people — the ones fighting and dying for victory.

She is completely unbelievable about anything.
She also said she was going to “drain the swamp” and run the “most ethical Congress in history.”
Yeah…unh-hunh.

So, if an Iraqi tribe initiates a cease fire with the US in exchange for money do we credit the subsequent reduction in violence to US might and determination or the will of the Iraqi people? Because to me, it sounds like the tribe has made a strategic decision to get rid of al Qaeda while retaining the presumption of autonomy from the Iraqi government.

The situation with Iran is identical. Iran has decided that it is undesirable for their neighbor to spiral into a civil war so it has pulled on the reins of its Iraqi allies. Is that American determination or the will of the Iraqi people?

Total bull-shit and leftist drivel.
Mookie, the Shiia version of “poppin-fresh,” was hiding out in Iran when Al Maliki attacked Basra, and started capturing and killing the criminal leaders of the Mahdi militia. At the same time, Al Maliki introduced legislation that would ban any political party from holding seats in Parliament, if they funded/supported armed militias. Mookie freaked, the Mad Mullahs freaked, as they saw their proxy battle for control of Iraq going up in smoke. While the calls for a ceasefire came from Iran, where Mookie was, it in no way is a reflection of Iran’s desire to play nice or get along.
Here is a scenario for liberals to ponder, if B-HO should get elected, and hold talks with Iran.

Got something you want to say?
