Less than 24 hours to live

UPDATE — Hood was granted a last minute, one-time-only 30-day reprieve from Gov. Perry (to prevent the death warrant from expiring).
________
Charles Dean Hood is a desperate man trying anything to avoid the death sentence imposed upon him by the state of Texas for the 1989 murders of Tracie Lynn Wallace and Ron Williamson.
His latest appeal alleged that his judge, Verla Sue Holland, and the District Attorney Tom O’Connell were having a secret affair.
Of course there was no merit to the allegation. And of course even if there was, it doesn’t change the fact that he was found guilty of brutally murdering two innocent people.
Well, tonight the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has denied his last appeal.
I just showd Big Sis (Tracie Wallace’s sister) the news, and she thrust her fist in the air and said an emphatic “Yes!” Tomorrow afternoon we’ll make the 167 mile drive to Huntsville to see Hood finally pay for his crime.
Justice will finally be done.
I have closed all other Hood comment threads so as to consolidate all new comments here.
