So here’s some good news for the GOP (hasn’t been much lately) — Sen. John Cornyn has an early 17 point lead to retain his Senate seat over a very strong and worthwhile candidate, Democratic state legislator Rick Noriega (52% to 35%).

Sen. Cornyn is one of the most faithfully conservative and decent men serving in Congress. It’s vital that he retains his seat.

I wonder just how much money the DNC is going to be willing to throw at this race considering the very, very slim chance at a victory? Will Noriega be mostly on his own when it comes to fund raising in Texas?

According the poll, Noriega leads amongst voters under 30-years old, and those who earn less than $40K. I’m just wondering how many of them nutrooters will have extra funds to fling at Noriega — funds that that demographic is much more likely to send to Barry Obama…

I think that Democrats overestimate their strength in very conservative Texas. Now, if only they could find a way to allow more illegal immigrants to vote…
