John Avarosis is a Cowardly and Miserable Creature

John Aravosis POSI get the feeling that John Aravosis at (anti)AMERICAblog News is the kind of pathetic shell-of-a-man who would go to the Special Olympics to make fun of how the kids run.

He’s probably the kind of spineless coward who goes to anti-military rallies, hides in the crowd, and from the security of anonymity throws rocks through the recruiting station windows.

John’s the kind of pussy who’s never had the balls to put on the uniform, pick up a weapon, and stand a watch.

But that doesn’t stop him from questioning the heroism and bravery of those who have.

John Aravosis is the very definition of a miserable creature, who has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Men like Sen. John McCain.

In his latest smear against a man better than himself, Aravosis has the temerity to ask, “Honestly, besides being tortured, what did McCain do to excel in the military?”

As AJ Strata points out, “Liberals only care if terrorists are tortured, not if Americans are.”

First of all Avarosis, you slimy piece of shit — being tortured is far from “all” that Sen. John McCain did or accomplished in his 23-years of Naval service.

23 years, Avarosis.

23 years where McCain accomplished more and meant more to his country than you would be able to do in 5 lifetimes.

He was a Naval aviator. That alone is a greater accomplishment than anything you are even capable of. And that alone is more than anything Barry Hussein Obama has ever accomplished.

When the North Vietnamese found out that McCain’s father was a high ranking Admiral, they offered to repatriate him (release him from captivity). But McCain refused unless every single man captured before him was also released.

That takes more of a man and more of a true leader than anything Avarosis or Obama will ever be capable of.

AVarosis mocks McCain’s torture and derides him as being “disloyal” to the United States of America for making an “enemy propoganda video” while he was in captivity.

What “I’m a giant flaming pussy” Avarosis doesn’t mention, is that McCain’s video-taped confession came at the end of a severe program of torture that lasted 4 days — 4 days of severe beatings and rope bindings (at the same time as McCain was suffering from dysentery). The beatings and torture were so severe, that his injuries left him permanently incapable of raising his arms above his head.

To this day, McCain admits that his statement was dishonorable. But he says, “I had learned what we all learned over there: Every man has his breaking point. I had reached mine.”

I’d like to see (no, not figuratively, but literally) how Avarosis would have held up under the exact same circumstances. I somehow doubt it would have taken 4-days to break Avarosis.

Sen. McCain went on to have a full and accomplished military career after being released from Hanoi. His seventeen military awards and decorations include the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star and Navy Commendation Medal.

But I’m sure Avarosis doesn’t think much of those either.

There are a lot of small, pathetic, miserable creatures on the Left. Even so, John Avarosis has found a way to stand out amongst (beneath) them.

In the words of Rep. Bill Delahunt (D-MA) — I’m glad I finally know what John Avarosis looks like. Just in case.

Right Wing Nuthouse:

First, let’s “quell a question” shall we?

QUESTION: Why did John McCain make a propaganda film for the enemy?

ANSWER: Because if you didn’t, the enemy would torture you until you died.

[snip]

The idea that McCain, who by all accounts, resisted the attempts of his captors to use him as a propaganda weapon despite a list of physical injuries that would have killed Aravosis and most normal men, somehow betrayed the country by finally reaching his physical and psychological limit of deliberately induced pain and succumbing is so despicable only someone fully versed in the politics of metaphorically sneaking into the bedrooms of opponents to spy on them could write it.

Matt Lewis at Townhall: “All I can say is that if John McCain’s military experience isn’t sufficient to qualify him to be Commander-in-Chief, I hardly think being a “community organizer” in Chicago is the proper training grounds …”

Uncle Jimbo at BlackFive: “What a chump. I have to stop because this is the guy I have always hated and who makes it nearly impossible for me to reach out to the left. You are low and sorry Mr. Aravosis.”

I agree, Uncle Jimbo — it’s nearly impossible for me to reach out to the left (without punching them in the pie hole, that is) for reasons just like this.

  1. Wesley Clark Denigrates McCain’s Service — UPDATED AND BUMPED…

While celebrating Obama’s lack of experience. This bit from Wesley Clark’s Face the Nation interview today is absolutely astounding — and indicative of the fact that Clark has ceased to be a patriot, and instead become a partisan whore. SCHIEFFER:…..

  3. This Avorosis just got his name mentioned more in one day for being a fetid meat bag, than he probably has in his entire life.
A petulant child, who so desperately needs attention, he relishes it even if it is negative.
    Enjoy your fifteen, leftist douche.

  4. Oh, please. McCain lost his hero status when he hitched it to the Bushwagon.

BTW, does your mother know you talk like this? I’m curious if this is how you would actually engage an ideological opponent in person should the occasion ever present itself to you.

Pat, it is quiet obvious to anyone reading this blog that you are incapable of engaging anyone in an ideological argument period! Your childish arguments and name calling are getting old!

  6. Oh, and for the record, lest you launch another barrage of childish invective a me, my late father was SSGT E7 in the Medical Corps, and spent 1942-1945 in Europe. I have three brothers who are vets, the oldest of which was drafted and spent 18 months in Vietnam. I lived in Killeen from 1969-1980. I am no stranger to the military, nor am I a blind devotee to every swinging dick who happened to serve.

[Editor --- Pat, all this proves is that there are some honorable men in your family. So your disdain for the military does not appear to be genetic. This is the second time today where I've seen this happen, and I've realized that I've seen it a lot more in the recent past --- where people who have never served list the long lineage of family who has. As if though there is a transference of their valor and courage.

Sorry. But it doesn't work that way. It never ceases to amaze me how people like you will list all of the brave veterans that you know or are related to as if though that somehow means something. You associate with them in words only, but not in the way that really matters...you never chose to join them on the field of battle.]

To my father and his GI buddies, the honorable veteran wasn’t one who went around waving his stars and bars around expecting everyone to acknowledge his bravery and glory. Merely serving your fellow citizens is reward enough for the virtuous, while self-aggrandizing brown-nosers will always crave validation and acknowledgement.

[Editor --- You know, the only people I ever hear say this or actually believe this are twits who have never actually served. The reason your dad and your brothers don't talk to you about it is because you just wouldn't get it. Combat veterans do talk about war. Quite a bit actually. They just prefer to do so with other combat vets. And a real veteran would never disparage another vet who chose to talk about or be proud of his service. Each veteran has earned that right.

Besides if Veterans won't talk about combat, who will tell the tales of truth? The media? You? Our liberal teachers and academics?

Some of the proudest and bravest veterans I know are none to shy about talking about their service. Nearly every WWII veteran I know wears a hat proclaiming what unit or ship they served on. All of the Vietnam bikers I ride with have their unit patches and service ribbons all over their vests.

Oh, and if your father was an E-7 he would have been a SFC, not a Staff Sergeant (E-6). But I couldn't really expect a puke like you to actually know that.]

  7. And look who’s leading the Pearl-Clutching Vets for McCain

How quaint. Is this really all you’ve got?

  8. There are times when I cannot read your blog because the topic gets me completely pissed off and I end up in a screaming rant at whoever is nearby.

Today, unfortunately, I read this post, and the comments, and I honestly wish I had missed today.

What a sad, pitiful excuse for a man this Aravosis is.

  9. General Clark,

You were right to say that Senator McCain has not shown good judgment, despite his extraordinary service to America. Just in the past few years:

    - Senator McCain’s service and experience, both as a POW and as a Senator apparently hasn’t infused him with a dose of good judgment.

    - Senator McCain’s experience hasn’t led him to realize that the war in Iraq and it’s continuance has empowered and emboldened Iran, and destabilized the region.

    - Senator McCain’s experience hasn’t caused him to recognize that we’re losing ground in Afghanistan, and Osama bin Laden is still out there, plotting.

    - Senator McCain’s experience didn’t lead him to support the 21st Century GI Bill — he opposed it. It didn’t even make him feel the need to get back to Washington to vote on this — one of the most important veterans’ bills this Congress. He twice skipped votes on the GI Bill, to fundraise.

    - Senator McCain’s experience didn’t help him empathize with troops are overstretched and overdeployed, when he voted against the bipartisan Webb-Hagel “Dwell Time Amendment,” which would have given troops as much time at home as in the field.

We all honor Senator McCain’s service, as you said you do. But that does not mean that on matters of security, the military, and veterans that he is beyond reproach. Nor does it mean that his service trumps the poor judgment he has shown in some of the most important issues of our time.

Do not back down, and keep treating the American people like adults who can handle a real, honest, and blunt debate in these important times.

  10. [Editor --- Pat's entire cut and paste job was deleted. But here's the link he was pasting from to the Daily Kos site, where some veterans have chimed in agreeing with Gen. Clark.]
