As a former Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), I was trained to always rush to the medical assistance of anybody who needed it.
As a former Combat Medic in the US Army, I was trained to run through bullets and explosions or towards my own peril in order to render medical aid to wounded soldiers.
Which is why this video taken in Hartford, Connecticut makes me sick to my stomach.

What the hell is the matter with the people of Hartford? Watch the people on the street who watched this old man get hit. And nobody does anything. They just let him lay there in the street.
Not one person rushed to his aid. Though one asshole does manage to whip out his phone…to take a picture.
As Chris at My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy notes, Hartford is about 82% Liberals.
Which explains their selfish indifference and inaction to a large degree.
Even the town’s Police Chief knows that something is horribley wrong with the people of Hartford:

I hope that every person in that video who did not immediately rush to that man’s assistance comes down with a week-long case of flaming diarrhea. Once a month. For the next 10 years.
As for the fucker who hit him and just kept driving away?

Unless you were able to see their voter registration cards this is simply slander- and frankly it won’t help your cause.
The drivers and the witnesses behaved shamefully- whatever their party.
They were waiting for the goverment to do something. Kind of like so many of the folks in New Orleans after Katrina (another Democrat stronghold).

I was channel surfing last night, and came across Geraldo on Fox. Ordinarily I would have kept surfing, but they were covering this story with the son of the man who was the hit and run victim.
It seems Hartford is one of the top ten most violent cities in the U.S., and the neighborhood where this happened is one of it’s worst. The neighborhood is predominately hispanic, as was the gentleman who was struck, and he is well known in this area. They made note of how many violent crimes occurred in this neighborhood in the same week this happened, and how no one is willing to come forward, as they don’t trust the police, which is baffling as it is a sanctuary city, and they also fear reprisal from those who commit the crimes.
Sounds like the perfect recipe for anarchy in another liberal paradise.

Preston, no, I didn’t pull them out of my ass. Look at the link. They come straight from the 2004 voter counts where 82 % of the people voted liberal. Registrations are worthless. People say they are independent because that is the trendy thing to do. Usually that is code for “Voting liberal, but don’t want you to know”. You said 41% dem. Ok, fine. I won’t argue registration since they are worthless. I’ll argue actual votes cast. Two facts for you: First, I said Liberal. That includes dems, greens, American Socialist, Workers Party, etc. Second, all that added up is 82%. Go ahead and rant all you want. I enjoy it but all you had to do was look up the vote counts of the election.
