Even more astonishing than Mr. Obama’s absence from Iraq, however, is the fact that he has apparently never sought out a single one-on-one meeting with Gen. Petraeus. The general has made repeated trips back to Washington, but Mr. Obama has shown no interest in meeting privately with him. It’s enough to make you wonder who exactly Mr. Obama listens to when it comes to Iraq?

He’s listening to the likes of Jack “Cold Blooded Killers” Murtha — remember this quote in regards to the Haditha Marines that Murtha called cold blooded killers?

Barack Obama, asked about Murtha’s charge by Alan Colmes in June of 2006, stated, “I would never second guess John Murtha… I think he’s somebody who knows of which he speaks.”

Uh huh. Except that 6 of the 8 Haditha Marines have been 100% exonerated so far. And the other two are soon to follow. With no apology from Murtha.

Or Obama.

I’ll tell you who else Obama is listening to in regards to Iraq — nobody but himself. He’s the Obamassiah. He already sees and knows all. And he will not let something as silly as irrefutable facts and successes in Iraq deter him from proclaiming it a lost cause and throwing up his hands in surrender.
