Why is it that every time Barry Obama has to “clarify” one of his remarks or positions — “clarify” always ends up meaning the exact opposite of what previously said?

This time it’s late term abortions.

It’s pretty clear that Obama is in favor of abortions. At anytime. Hell, he’s even in favor of killing babies that survive botched abortions.

But in trying to pander to evangelicals, he’s pissing of the pro-choice feminists and other usual suspects.

Go read the comments over at Shakesville. They are livid at Barry. Comments like this one are pretty common:

fuck you, obama. fuck you. you fucking ARE one of ‘people who, not only people who are anti-abortion, but people who may be in the middle, that that means that if a woman just doesn’t feel good then that is an exception.’ as was made fucking evident in your OWN FUCKING STATEMENT. so own it, you pandering mushy-middle moderate shithead.

They’re pissed — and they’re saying so in their comments. But what they’re not saying is “I’m not going to vote for Obama because of this; I’m not that pissed.”

Barry already knows that he has the far-left lunatic vote locked up. No matter what he does. Oh, they’ll bitch and moan and spew profanities. But they’re still going to vote for them.

Which is why Obama can flip-flop all over the charts on … well … just about everything.

This guy has got to have one of the most flexible political platforms in political history. No matter the issue, whether it be Iraq, FISA, NAFTA, public financing, special interests, or abortion (just to name a few), clearly he has no qualms about “shifting” his positions whenever he feels it’s necessary politically to do so, even at the expense of major grumbling amongst his most loyal supporters.
