The international “World Court” somehow or another has it in their heads that they have a say in US law.
You might recall that back in March, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the international world court has no jurisdiction in US or US states law.
From that decision:
Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the majority, disagreed. Roberts said the international court decision cannot be forced upon the states.
The president may not “establish binding rules of decision that pre-empt contrary state law,” Roberts said.
Apparently the world court didn’t get the memo, as they have issued another “ruling” today “prohibiting” the United States and, more specifically, Texas from executing 5 illegal Mexican murderers. To include the vile piece of sub-human shit named Jose Ernesto Medellin.
The World Court ordered the United States on Wednesday to do all it could to halt the imminent executions of five Mexicans until the court makes a final judgment in a dispute over suspects’ rights.

“The court indicates that the United States of America shall take all measures necessary to ensure that five Mexican nationals are not executed pending its final judgment,” Judge Rosalyn Higgins said.
On behalf of Texas, let me go ahead and say, “Go fuck yourself, World Court.”
Thankfully (and expectedly), Gov. Rick Perry feels the same way:
Texas will go ahead with the scheduled Aug. 5 execution of Houston rapist-killer Jose Medellin despite Wednesday’s United Nations world court order for a stay, a spokesman for Gov. Rick Perry said.
[snip]
Perry’s office dismissed the argument.
“The world court has no standing in Texas and Texas is not bound by a ruling or edict from a foreign court,” Perry spokesman Robert Black said.
“It is easy to get caught up in discussions of international law and justice and treaties. It’s very important to remember that these individuals are on death row for killing our citizens.”
Good for you, Gov. Perry.

They prohibit Texas carrying out these executions?
That’s hysterical!
Come and make us you shit-heads!
These alleged jurists can sit there and pass wind along with their rulings, but they have no say whatsoever in Texas law, and Thank God for that.
