You might recall the rhetorical question posed earlier, “Is the Media Trying to Elect Obama?” (the obvious answer for those not drunk on the kool-aid is, “Yes. They are.”)
Well, then this shouldn’t surprise you either:
An analysis of federal records shows that the amount of money journalists contributed so far this election cycle favors Democrats by a 15:1 ratio over Republicans, with $225,563 going to Democrats, only $16,298 to Republicans .
Two-hundred thirty-five journalists donated to Democrats, just 20 gave to Republicans — a margin greater than 10-to-1. An even greater disparity, 20-to-1, exists between the number of journalists who donated to Barack Obama and John McCain.
Most professional (or unprofessional, as the case often is) media journalists are Liberals. This isn’t an opinion. Just as most university and college professors are drinking from the Left side of the stream, too.
What’s funny is watching the Left, despite the shivers for Obama running up and down their legs, try to maintain the facade of “unbiased” and “objective” reporting and analysis.
_______
Like last weekend, when both the Nutroots Nation and the Americans for Prosperity blogger conventions were being held at the same time here in Austin.
I didn’t meat a single conservative blogger who was also a member of the main stream media. In fact, I hardly saw any media coverage at all.
And there certainly weren’t any MSM journalists actually participating in the AFP summit.
Compare that with the Nutroots Nation (from Burnt Orange Report):
I also want to extend a personal thanks to a few folks in the MainStream media: Karen Brooks at the Dallas Morning News, Richard Whittaker at the Austin Chronicle, Mark Lisheron at the Austin American-Statesman, Gardner Selby of the Austin American-Statesman, Elise Hu of KVUE-TV, Charlie Ray of KXAN-TV, Eileen Smith of Texas Monthly, Patrick Brendel of TexasWeekly.com, and Rudy Koski of KTBC-TV. Thank each of you for coming to cover Netroots Nation in Austin–especially to those of you who produced unbiased, Texas-centric coverage in advance of the convention.
The Nutroots Nation event was overflowing with the official bloggers from a wide swath of MSM organizations. And these bloggers weren’t just covering Nutroots Nation…no, they were active participants. Not just blogging, but fully enjoying all of the drinking games and afterbars and cocktail socials (yes, there was a LOT of drinking involved at Nutroots Nation).
Why were none of these official media bloggers participating in the AFP summit? Easy answer — because they are Liberal bloggers. If not officially at their Journo jobs, then on their own personal blogs.
What biased media?
Oh that’s right — THAT biased media.
______
OTHERS:
Nope - donating your money to a candidate you want to win would in no way affect how you cover that candidate. That is not a conflict of interest, not a question of objectivity, and these are not the droids you’re looking for.
In other news, Barack Obama woke up this morning at sunrise, fueling speculation that he may have actually caused this to happen. Film at 4,5,6,10 and 11.
