I’m off to the funeral of Chuck Burt, 66, of Round Rock, TX.

Chuck was an Air Force veteran, fellow Patriot Guard Rider, an EMT. He was a pilot. He was a ham radio operator. He was an avid motorcyclist, logging thousands of cross-country miles each year. He even judged flowers in flower shows.

He was a kind and generous man — and a good friend.

Chuck was killed riding his motorcycle last week when a gravel truck pulled out in front of him on HWY 29 in Georgetown.

________

Sadly, I also found out this morning that a good friend and former colleague of mine passed away and his funeral is this afternoon, right after Chuck’s.

So today will be a long, difficult day, and probably won’t feel like writing when it’s over.

I never met Chuck, but I wish I had. We have a lot in common (rider, pilot, ham, etc).

I hope and believe that he is in a better place.

I’m sorry for your loss, Robbie.

You’ll be in our thoughts today.

My condolences, Robbie.

My sympathies.
They always seem to come in bunches.

Robbie: Sorry for the loss of your two friends..

Got something you want to say?
