Because nothing spells unity like handing out reparations for slavery — paid by people who never owned slaves to people who never were slaves.
Would Barry Obama really follow through on this:
“I personally would want to see our tragic history, or the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged,” the Democratic presidential hopeful said.
“I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it’s Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds.”
I’m sure by “deeds”, Obama probably means “trucks-full of cash” and “tax rebates” to his brothers and sisters.
But the saddest part of Barry’s speech is that he continues the theme of throwing American under the bus. Remember, we’re a broken country … one with a “tragic past” … and only by electing Obama can the healing begin. Only he can heal our broken souls.
I’m not surprised that he says such stupid shit…I’m surprised so many people buy it. There really is no accounting for stupidity, is there?
______
Civil war, Constitutional amendments, laws, set-asides, preferences, enforcement, cultural change, etc.
Yet here again, these are deemed insufficient. Instead, “reparations” and “deeds” are mentioned in the same breath by a supposedly “post-racial” candidate for President of the United States. And what that simply means is another in a long line of redistributionist schemes based in historical wrongs and the premise they’ve not been addressed.
This. Has. Got. To. Stop.

I wasn’t there, and won’t pay for it, even if this shithead gets elected.
