Oh yeah,

Ol Ronald Regan, the savior of the RePUBLICON Party was all about ciivil rights as well. When he was governor of California and said Home Owners should have the right to descriminate against Blacks if they want, he wasn't being racist; he was all down for the cause. He showed how much he loved people of color again when he voted against the renewal of the Civil Rights Bill in the early 80's. Oh no, Blacks, and Latinos are just imagining things when they don't overwhelming vote RePublicon. Why they should all get up up right now and walk hand and hand with the Lily White Tea Party, because they're all about inclusion. Yep, they're all about it.

Obama is a sham; an incompetent fool. Everybody thinks he is the second coming of something. I thought he was going to start an era of peace and love throughout the world…what happened? He is a throw-back to the 1960’s political nonsense. The 60’s social experiment didn’t work then and it certainly won’t work now in a world that has gotten more tense and selfish. All you African American people that voted for him just because he was part African American made a tragic mistake. You don’t like the man, the white man, but you elect someone that will put more of the man in your lives. You see, the more you think the government should give you; the more the government will take from you. They will ask you to give up more of your rights, and they will get more into your personal life.

African Americans in politics such Congressman Allen West of Florida, Condoleezza Rice, Clarence Thomas, etc., are very phenomenal political people, and they represent what America is supposed to be about.

Please name one piece of civil rights legislation before 1964 enacted by Democrat. Eisenhower prompted the 1964 legislation passed later by Johnson, but he was unable to pass it because of Democrat control of the houses. Want a good read, check out:

Dude–

How old are you? You and your ilk act like this is not only the first election you ever voted in but the first election you ever heard of.

If you would have cracked open a history book when you were in high school, you would know that voters swing from one political party to the other every 4-12 years. And it won't be long before the donks are out of power and the gop back in. Get use to it.

I don't care if she runs in 2012 or not, but that she is now able to attack liberalism with major support from conservatives.
As for being mistaken, actually I believe it is you and the left. The fear they reveal in their vehement attacks is palpable.

All that is fine and well.
I also remember RWR. He never compromised his principles, and he never moved left, the left moved toward him.
I'm seeing the same thing happen now as I did in 1966 and 1994. The overreaching of the democrats in control of D.C., and the reaction of the voters.
We will see.
As for Palin, I have never seen a person that supposedly has no chance, create as much fear in her political opponents, as she.

It doesn't matter whether or not it makes sense. What matters is whether or not people vote for you. It's politics. It's a game.

I am a bleeding-heart Democrat who wants a strong and viable Republican opposition. But what I see right now scares me. The Democrats control the White House, both houses of Congress, and have a filibuster-proof Senate majority to boot. Talk about a hat trick.

This is how badly the GOP got thumped in '08. I've been reading through the posts, and that's what we keep trying to tell you. Ideology is fine. But it's also about perception.

Bring back the party of Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon (whom I admire, aside from his inexplicable mistake). George Herbert and Junior won't cut it. McCain may have made a fine President, but he lost on Bush's coattails more than anything.

But wait! McCain wasn't conservative enough! Some Republicans think that's why he lost, but that's ludicrous. McCain hung with Obama for a long time. The bad timing on the recession did him in.

And don't think for a minute that Sarah Palin can win anything.

Political parties are like individuals--they fight to survive. They fight over votes. And the numbers I displayed in my previous post should frighten any Republican into trying to find out what these people want. But what I see instead are conservatives preaching to the choir, while everybody else is not only outside the church but several blocks away.

You are not even connecting with huge swaths of the population. Your best chance of near-term success would be if Obamacare blows up all over the Dems (which it might). But what if it doesn't?

Politics is fickle and can change fairly quickly. I may be eating my words someday--I get that. But I'm afraid that, for the Republicans, the failure to face the political reality of a changing demographic may be too much for ideology alone to overcome.

Actually, with the voting percentages presented, it appears that those who voted in that manner are more hell bent on destruction.
As for the 95% of blacks who voted for B-HO, it is clearly racism, as they voted for his skin color, not on his poor character.
As for the Republicans convincing any minority group of anything, I can't answer, I'm a conservative, and the GOP doesn't much listen to me either. However, if you look at the overall characteristics of most minority groups, they tend to be conservative in many aspects of their lives, but vote for liberals. It makes absolutely no sense, whatever.
