Our big lug was racing through the backyard yesterday and sliced open his front paw on a sharp edge of our new edging.
Mrs. Cooper had to rush him to the vet, blood spurting everywhere (he’d sliced open an artery). A few stitches, some pain killers, and big ‘ol doggy bandage and he’s going to be OK.

UPDATE
Angus is doing fine. In fact, from the moment he sliced his foot open till now, he seems not to have even noticed. He’s been jumping around and playing with Otis (our Lab/Bloodhound/Mastiff mix) just like always.
His bandage is looking pretty ragged, though. But it comes off tomorrow and all should be well and back to normal.

He doesn’t look very happy. Where’s his space collar? I would expect that bandage to be torn to shreds as soon as he feels the least bit better. How did you wife transport him to the vet by herself?
Big galoot doesn’t look happy at all.
And what’s with the fancy print bandage? Has he gone metrosexual? Say it isn’t so!
My friend’s dog came home from the vet with a purple ace bandage on his leg. I assume vets use some of the same medical supplies as pediatricians.
Oh, look at that long face…..he needs a big hug and some attention.
Glad he’s going to be Ok !
So, how’s our patient today?
I can’t believe there hasn’t been an Angus Update.
The big guy is OK — he gets his bandage off and stitches removed tomorrow.
He does appear to know how to relax…
