Has Obama Ever Even Seen a NASCAR Race?

The single biggest group of people in America that Barry Obama relates the least to has to be NASCAR Nation.

These are exactly the kind of “bitter” folks that Barry chided for “clinging to their guns and religion.”

Barry’s elitism is the antithesis of NASCAR Nation.

But that won’t stop Barry from trying to buy their attention and their vote. It would be almost laughable if Barry wasn’t serious about wanting to sponsor a car in an upcoming NASCAR race.

Oh, it’ll grab attention alright. But it won’t be in the way that Obama is hoping for. Trust me. I’m a part of NASCAR Nation. These are my people.

They’ll take Barry’s money alright (which, by the way, is really your money if you were drunk-enough off the kool-aid to actually send him some). And then they’ll spend the entire race making fun of him (and hoping that his car crashes into the wall).

I know that’s what I’ll be doing.

_______

Obama sponsoring a NASCAR car is like:

  • Bob Barker sponsoring a dog at one of Mike Vick’s dog fights
  • PETA sponsoring the next Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
  • Congressman Keith Ellison sponsoring a pig in a pig race
  • Sen. John McCain sponsoring Burning Man (h/t Michelle Malkin)
  • Ted Nugent sponsoring an anti-gun rally
  • Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sponsoring a bris
  • Rosie O’Donnell sponsoring a diet plan

What else you got?

_______

Only marginally related, but it reminded me of this David Letterman Top 10 list:

The Top 10 reasons Why There are no Black NASCAR Drivers:

  1. Have to sit upright while driving.
  2. Pistol won’t stay under front seat.
  3. Engine noise drowns out the rap music.
  4. Pit crew can’t work on car while holding up pants at the same time.
  5. They keep trying to carjack Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  6. Police cars on track interfere with race.
  7. No passenger seat for the Ho.
  8. No Cadillacs approved for competition.
  9. When they crash their cars, they bail out & run.
  10. They can’t wear their helmets sideways.

  1. Didn’t one of the major channels want to take a film crew into a nascar race and see if they could provoke a racial incident? They got into a bit of trouble for it, too.

  2. Ken Schrader will drive the entry, a Toyota, at Pocono for BAM, which is outside the top 35 in owner points and must qualify for the race on speed. The team has run just once since Martinsville due to sponsorship concerns, and has just six top-10 finishes in 167 career starts in the Cup series dating back to ‘02.

I hope the fans all show up with signs that say “Drill Here-Drill Now,” that he gets booed loudly, and if his car even qualifies, I hope it tests out the new soft wall technology early and often.
Of course, he will probably flip-flop and skip the event, especially since his planned $300million month of June only brought in one tenth that amount.

  3. Went by a pecan store here in Alabama this morning and picked up a # 3 and a # 88. If Dale were still with us I think that BAM car bracketed with an O and an A would be going boom coming out of some turn.

Great post. Loved the Top 10 list.

  4. HAH!
    The flip-flops just keep coming!

What’s next, will he switch parties, too?

  5. Do you really think that was actually produced by David Letterman?

  6. No, thank Christ.

  7. We’d rather see him sponsor an open-wheel driver, anyway. The IRL’s Sarah Fisher could certainly use a hand. She had endorsed Hillary Clinton during the primaries, so we presume that her politics lean to the left.
