From a man who knows as much about “ample self-regard” “lapsing into hubris”…it’s almost laugh out loud funny to hear poor Andy Sully get all verklempt over his pending break up with Barry Obama:
A few things have unsettled me these past couple of weeks about the Obama campaign. It is not the small adjustments to previously-held positions – FISA, the Second Amendment, Iraq. It’s a sense that Obama’s ample self-regard is lapsing into hubris. The signs of this are pretty trivial on the surface, but they are troubling nonetheless.
Andy’s a bit slow to realize what those of use who resisted the kool-aid have known from the outset — that Obama is the poster boy for “politics as usual”.

If you have any question about his voting record, just look it up. It’s all right there in the public record.
Try looking up Obama’s while you are at it. See which Senator has voted “Present” at a higher ratio.
Or see which Senator has had to go back and admit that he voted wrong and he meant to press the other button.
(hint: the answer is Obama on both)
Democrats and Obama supporters have the standing and courage of conviction to challenge Obama on his wrongheaded FISA and similar rightward-leaning positions he’s been taking. You won’t see that coming from his right flank when it comes to McCain’s flip-flops.
Remember the Google bomb “Miserable Failure” that came up “George W. Bush? when you serched on it? Well, I think it’s time to change that bomb to “irrelevant:”
Indeed, Deputy Treasury Secretary Robert Kimmitt told the mass circulation tabloid Bild that “it would be nice if the German government would focus on strengthening its contacts to us rather than already beginning to look for our successors.”
Obama backers on the left are doing the wincing now.
