Form the latest Gallup Poll:

Nearly Half of U.S. Adults Now Applaud the Iraq Surge

The other “nearly half”? Complete idiots. There really is no other way to explain it.

People — like Barry Obama — who, knowing what they know now about the success of the surge, still wouldn’t support it…well, these are the same type of people who would still bet the farm that the Patriots were going to beat the Giants in the Super Bowl last year.

AJ Strata:

What is clear is only 17% buy into the Obama position the Surge made things worse and was not worth it. The rest of the country is positive or neutral. On the signature issue of our times, Obama and the Surrendercrats are (as usual) seriously out of step with America.  Look at the numbers  year ago and America has moved from pessimistic to optimistic. Obama clearly has not ‘moved on’ yet. Wonder if he realizes he is disagreeing with America, and being arrogantly stubborn about it to boot.

Gateway Pundit:

That only 50% of America understands that the Bush Surge was a success is unfortunate. If the media was doing its job this would be different.

But, what the media did instead was scale back coverage by 92% when the surge started to work.

One Response to “Only Half the Country Now Applauds the Iraq Surge?”

No the other half actually have brains in their heads. The point of the surge was to create room for the Iraqi Government to take over control and allow US forces to slowly begin withdrawal but instead the Iraqi government decided go on holiday instead, apparantely that was more important. You stupid neocons seem to think that the military success and the political progress made as a result of the surge are mutually independant, well guess what morons they aint. If McCain gets elected five years from now the US army will still be stuck in Iraq and you idiot conservatives will still be raving about the so called sucess of the surge, all the while the Iraqi politicians will be laughing their heads off.

Got something you want to say?
