John Edwards — Yeah, We Already Knew You Cheated on Your Wife

And then lied through your teeth about it

Do you remember what John Edwards had to say when Bill Clinton was doing dirty, kinky things to Monica Lewinsky?

I think this president has shown a remarkable disrespect for his office, for the moral dimensions of leadership, for his friends, for his wife, for his precious daughter. It is breathtaking to me the level to which that disrespect has risen.

And yet, that didn’t stop The Silk Pony from wanting desperately and vainly to be President…even though he knew he was just as dirty as Bill. Even though he knew, that had he won the party’s nomination, that this story could surface at any time…to include October.

Yet, there will be much forgiveness and understanding in Libtard land. They’ll flail their arms and scream, “but it’s just like McCain.”

All without ever actually denouncing what their boy Johnny did.

And, as Omar Gallaga (who writes for the Austin American-Statesman) tweets:

Sorry, big news, you don’t get to look down at the Enquirer when they just scooped you by 9+ months on a big story.

The NYSlimes is already weaseling on their lack of an investigation…backstabbing assholes.
There is a new wrinkle, Mistress’ Family Challenges Edwards to Take DNA Test.
Sure hope the Silky Pony has kept his law license up to date, he’s gonna need a whole lot more money, after this.

No one will denounce it because we expect this kind of behavior from Democrats. As a news man myself, a Republican caught in such a scandal is far more newsworthy than a Democrat.

Seriously, why? There might be an obvious rationale to the media and the GOP but the rest of us don’t understand the double standard.

What excuse? It’s not for me to ‘excuse’ Edwards’ cheating on his wife- that’s between the two of them. For what it’s worth I think it’s outrageous that he ran for President with these skeletons in his closet.

It’s not a double standard. And in Edwards case it’s more than cheating on your wife. He has refused to acknowledge his own daughter. I have lost count of the number of people he has made lie for him. Talk about a house of cards!

The NYT already put McCain on the front page for having an alleged affair with a lobbyist within the last 6 months .. and it was false story.. not even any evidence.

But touch Edwards? Oh no we can’t do that, he’s on Obama’s list for a cabinet position. We can’t do anything to hurt the messiah..that just wouldn’t be in keeping with our plan, now would it.

Gimme a break.

I still can’t believe Edwards conned all these people to lie for him, especially the Youngs. And this trick about offering to take a paternity test knowing that the mother of his child would refuse was predictable. But, Edwards has underestimated the tenacity of the National Enquirer and other reporters, such as Mickey Kaus, Brian Ross, and Sam Stein.

What kind of man turns his back on his wife after she was seriously injured in a car accident, commits adultery, and then leaves the mother of his children when he finds a younger, wealthier woman?

What kind of a scumbag lies in his own autobiography and insists he was separated from his first wife before he began dating his second wife.

John McCain is that man.

I thought this topic was about Edwards. Substance please. Oh wait, I forgot that the Dems get a free pass when it comes to this kind of thing. As mentioned earlier, its a much better story when a Republican or even better, a true conservative, gets caught up in a scandal.

So, buisness as usual would predict a Clinton-esque ending to this story. Edwards gets caught - Edwards lies - Edwards realizes lie isnt working - Edwards apologizes - Edwards appeals to public via helpful media - Edwards forgiven by public - Edwards moving up like The Jeffersons…

Im interested to see exactly where this guy lands.

I think it’s too bad about Edwards. It’s disappointing.

But no, you don’t get a pass. McCain is your candidate and he is the candidate with the personal behavior that gets you so riled up and ready to stone him to death as a sinner. Or do you only care about lying and adultery when it’s done by a democrat?

Quite honestly, I actually DO expect the leaders of our country to be a cut above. Someone to lookup to. A real Cowboy (and I mean that in the true meaning of the word). Unfortunately, the bulk of our politicians, left or right, dont even come close.

Oh…and I don’t get riled up, I’m on behavioral meds and type with a couple of pencils. You ever try to throw a rock with a pencil?

According to the Enquirer, there is still more to come out about Love Lips.
It will be interesting to see if the LameStreamMedia makes the connection with Fred Baron, Love Lips former chairman of his campaign finance committee, as a major fund raiser for B-HO.

They are saying that he lied during the Woodruff interview. No big revelation there since he was clearly unbelievable. The NE says he met with Hunter at least three times this year, that she has now been flown out of California by private jet, that they have been in constant contact, and that he was quite aware of the money passing hands.

Obviously, he is going to extremes because he believes he still has a career in politics. He is wrong. I’m waiting for his wife to announce she has finally had enough of all the lies.
