Sure- the timing was necessary- there’s no question that everyone was going to be gushing about Obama’s speech.

But the selection?!? When John McCain started his campaign Palin was the mayor of a town with barely fewer people than the high school I went to.

The fact that he had only met her 3 times compounds the idea that this was merely an attempt to win an election not a decision on how to govern. That is very telling of McCain’s judgment right there.

(I mean does this sound like someone who has ideas on either energy policy or Iraq?!?)

When John McCain started his campaign, Palin was governor of Alaska. Twelve years earlier, Obama’s political career got off the ground with his the help of his friendly neighborhood terrorists, murderers, and murderer apologists.

Palin’s name had been kicked around for a very long time as a possible VP nom and long before Obama demonstrated his poor decision making ability by not picking Hillary Clinton and treating her like crap. Talk about pettiness!

Super Sarah is an excellent choice for VP, and of the four people on the ballot for P and VP, she is the only one with any executive experience at all, unless you count the six years B-HO chaired the Annenberg Challenge, but we can’t talk about that, according to B-HO, so she is the only one of the four with actual executive experience.
As to someone being selected for high office without experience, careful there Preston, you shouldn’t mention those words, B-HO won’t go into the tree with you anymore.
